Johnny Griffin Volume 2 "A Blowing Session" Blue Note Records 1559. Original Mono Pressing. Deep Groove. Ear. RVG etched in the dead wax. 47 West 63rd New York 23 address on labels. Cover: VG-: A couple of the corners are very slightly dinged. The back cover has some water damage and it has warped the back cover a little. The front cover looks fine actually. Record: VG+: There are a few very light, inaudible sleeve scuffs.
Ideally, I would like to ship these records out double boxed and via priority mail or priority mail international This would cost $30 in the US and $70 international. This would also come with insurance. I will give the winners this shipping option at check out.
This record comes from an amazing collection, the biggest jazz collection I've ever seen (along with many of my colleagues) that I sold the bulk of almost 30 years ago. The collection was well taken care of and since it was so big, most of the records were hardly played if at all. Occasionally you would come along a record that was played a few times. Unfortunately, the bottom shelf sat on a rug that at one point got wet and seeped into a small section of the records that were on the bottom shelf and were slightly water damaged (this will be noted in the listing of course) but the record is fine and the front cover usually retains all it's luster. The remaining 95% of the records are unaffected by this. The records have been basically untouched since I was last there 30 years ago. In the coming weeks, I will be selling off these records. There are still a few gems in excellent condition and some that are slightly water damaged. Also, I didn't take most of the Impulses 30 years ago so there will be a number of them coming up for auction in the coming weeks.
All sales guaranteed. No returns unless the item is significantly not as described (and they are as described).
