STEVE HILLAGE LP Fish Rising 1975 US GONG VG+/VG+ & "L" Vinyl Only TODD Rundgren

Honestly, I never listened to Mr. Hillage and/or GONG, prior to listing this record. I was totally floored by the music and Mr. Hillage's guitar work on both records and love his version of the Beatles "All Too Much". I will now seek out his catalog.
That said....

This is an original US pressing of Steve Hillage's 1975 "Fish Rising" release on Virgin Records. Much rarer than the British pressings.

Also included in this listing is a bonus copy of Hillage's 1976 release "L", produced by Todd Rundgren. This is a British LP.

Side 1 of the vinyl has a good amount of hairline scratching that I believe is from being in the cover without an inner sleeve.  It plays without skipping, but has some surface noise. It's noticeable, but doesn't prevent enjoying the music. Surface noise is more noticeable during quiet passages.

Side 2 is much better, visually. It does have light scratching/scuffing and plays with some surface noise which is more noticeable during quiet passages. At the beginning of Side 2 there is what may be a skip, but my turntable is very sensitive. It may not skip on your system, (dependent on your unit's sensitivity. I would rate the vinyl, overall as VG+.

The cover is also in VG+ condition. There is light ring wear on the front and back. A small amount of shelf wear on the bottom edge. There is some wear on the corners. I've tried to document as much as possible in the attached photos. The item in the photos is the item you will receive.

The "L" album is the RECORD ONLY, without the cover. It is in my opinion, in VG condition. There is light scratching/scuffing with audible surface noise throughout and plays without skipping.

I've tried to document as much as possible in the attached photos. I have taken more specific photos of the aforementioned flaws, so if you need to see them, please feel free to contact me.

Vinyl grading is usually based on the Goldmine standard and is as follows:

“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.

“M” Mint - a near perfect, or unplayed record.

“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.

EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.

EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.

VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few scuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise, still plays great.

Good - In the record world, "Good" is not good! From here on down, we're talking about beat-up records!
