Up for sale is a fantastic copy of George Harrison’s uber rare and highly coveted “Cry For A Shadow,” recorded in 1974 in Seattle, with roughly 100ish copies sold at the first Beatles West Coast Fan Convention.

The album is in great shape, in original shrink. It’s the first copy to appear for sale online in almost a decade, and it might be the last. I’m looking to sell quickly and will take a serious offer.

“Cry For a Shadow” was pressed nearly 50 years ago, and it’s incredibly hard to find, especially in nice shape.

The other sales of this pressing I could find on eBay were in 2013 ($1,200) and 2014 ($1,285).

The album belonged to my dad, a massive Beatles fan, who passed away a few years ago. My mom remembers him going to a Harrison concert and a convention when I was a baby, so we think he got the record there. It’s been in a box ever since.

Condition:

Vinyl is a solid VG+. The cover is EX, very close to NM, and still in its original shrink. There's an old-school inner sleeve as well (but currently in a MoFi sleeve the buyer can have). The cover looks like new. The vinyl has a nice sheen to it, but there are some imperfections. It could also use a cleaning

Flaws:

The main issues I noticed are a few minor imperfections (like tiny indentations) that likely happened during pressing. I tried to take pictures of the ones I could see (some require the perfect angle). They're small, but I can feel one or two a little bit...they look similar to little marks I often seen on picture discs and/or colored vinyl.

- There are a couple of light marks on the vinyl, barely worth noting. Nothing I can feel, and could possibly be removed with a cleaning.

Shipping: I'll ship double-boxed via USPS media mail, with the vinyl outside of the sleeve to avoid seam splits. If you want priority mail, let me know.

Offers: Feel free to send reasonable offers.

NOTEI don't have a turntable, so I cannot test it. I have, however, sold many of my dad's albums (most in 2020), and I only had one issue with the vinyl itself (a really old record that would't play at all, so I refunded)... my father was immaculate with his collection, and this is no different.

Thanks for looking.
