Hiromi Uehara composed the music for the animated film adaptation of the popular jazz manga soundtrack
●The popular jazz manga "BLUE GIANT" (original: Shinichi Ishizuka), which has sold over 9.2 million copies since its serialization began in 2013, will finally be made into a theatrical movie (released nationwide on February 17, 2023). ● "BLUE GIANT" has been highly praised by many reviews as "a manga where you can hear the sound", but pianist Hiromi Uehara is in charge of the music in the play. The original songs (FIRST NOTE, N.E.W., WE WILL) and the end roll song (BLUE GIANT) of the trio "JASS" formed by the main character Dai Miyamoto were also written for this work.
●Tomoaki Baba, who was unanimously selected in an audition for influential players in Japan and overseas, to play the saxophone of Dai Miyamoto, who aims to become the best jazz player in the world. Shunji Tamada, who was a high school classmate of Dai from Sendai, played the drums, and Shun Ishiwaka, who is also active as a member of millennium parade, participated in a love call from Hiromi Uehara. Hiromi Uehara is in charge of playing Yukinori Sawabe, a pianist whom Dai meets in Tokyo.
