CONDITION: EXCELLENT with two sides from the very first recording session by REV. KELSEY here with his CONGRETATION --The Rev. Kelsey’s first recordings were made at a session in his Church (The Temple Church Of God In Christ) in Washington, D.C., December 1947 and the records issued from that session came from his weekly service and were issued as “Rev. Kelsey and His Congregation.” “Old Ship of Zion”, “Babylon” and “Hide My Soul” mainly feature the Congregation but also some leads by Lena Phillips on "HIDE MY SOUL" and also from that session “I’m A Soldier” and “Little Boy” feature Rev. Kelsey preaching and singing -- here on this rare SUPER DISC 1057 we have "HIDE MY SOUL" and "LITTLE BOY" on this 10" 78 rpm record -- please see photos.
This record will be securely packed in a new 12x12x4 box sandwiched between cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
