Nachdem sich Chan Marshall Ende der Neunziger deutlich von Indie-Rock in Richtung Songwriter entwickelt hatte, erwies sie sich auf dem 2000er Album auch als bemerkenswerte Interpretin. Nur Stimme, Piano oder Gitarre reflektieren Titel wie "I Cant" Get No Satisfaction" oder "Kingston Town" und veleihen ihnen einen ganz eigenen Touch.
