1977, the year in which an ending progressive rock era symbolically passed the baton to the crescent punk and disco-music phenomena, is also the year of "Storia o leggenda" (History or legend), the ninth studio LP - taking into account the collection "L'aurora delle Orme" - by Aldo Tagliapietra, Michi Dei Rossi and Tony Pagliuca's band, who here renew the collaboration with young guitarist Germano Serafin.

Recorded in Paris and presented at the time as a cycle-closing record, "Storia o leggenda" was actually a step forward for Le Orme, who were able to infuse their trademark symphonic style, romantic and melancholy with pop veins and being perfectly recognizable at the same time. Sometimes the band looks back toward a not too distant past, thanks also to the return of acoustic guitars and a cover designed by artist Walter Mac Mazzieri, who already painted the artwork for "Uomo di pezza". After "Verità nascoste", "Storia o leggenda" was further evidence of the fact that Le Orme could make it by themselves, aftr the separation from producer Gian Piero Reverberi.

The artwork is here faithfully reproduced, including the inner sleeve with the songs lyrics. A must for any self-respecting fan of Le Orme, also considering that "Storia o leggenda" has never been reissued on LP in over thirty years!
