- Fairuz - Kif Ak Inta - Label: Wewantsounds

Wewantsounds is pleased to reissue Fairuz's classic 'Kifak Inta' produced by his son Ziad Rahbani in the late 80s and released only on cassette and CD in 1991. Composed and arranged by Rahbani who had already produced 'Wahdon' (1979) and 'Maarifti Feek' (1987), 'Kifak Inta' is a clever blend of oriental music, jazz and funk, enhanced with Brazilian influences serving the superb voice of Fairuz. The album successfully continues the path blazed by the highly sought-after LPs “Wahdon” and “Maarifti Feek,” modernizing the Lebanese Diva’s sound with contemporary arrangements. 'Kifak Inta,' for the first time on vinyl, retains the design of the original cassette. The album – selected by Mario Choueiry of the Institut du Monde Arabe and who also wrote the liner notes (Fr/En) – was recently remastered by Colorsound Studio in Paris.
