For sale is NAT KING COLE's "Love Is The Thing," on Capitol W 824, Mono, DG, 1957.
SOUND: EX or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. One brief area on side 2 with soft tics. Beyond that, very clean and sharp playback overall.
VINYL: VG+ The record appears stunning overall. I only graded it VG+ due to two small scratches in track-A2. These can be heard in the playback as 2 soft tics, lasting 30 seconds or so. Otherwise, it would easily be NM!
JACKET: NM Gorgeous, solid and sharp all-around. Clean and unmarked, with a small dime-sized area of tape residue on back upper right. Includes original inner-sleeve.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
Overall beautiful condition, plays almost perfect. $35
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
