THIS WEEK, I’m offering a bunch of “Foreign” records!  Till now, I’ve been reluctant to post them, as my language skills are somewhat lacking.  But I’ve turned a new leaf!   I’ll simply express myself as best I can, and let the old chips fall as as they may!

JONUZI ISLAM ME SHOKET ("The Tirana Islamic Variety Boys") play these beloved Albanian instrumental hits:

"E QJARE E LESKOVIKUT" ("You Call it Baba Ganoush; I Call it Love)," and "PERTEJ ME GORICA TRI CANDILE NDEZUR" ("This Land Isn't Miserable Enough for Me."

This original 1929 (American) "International Series" Victor V-28010 is in beautiful EE+ condition.

*****

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.

An Unsolicited Testimonial!: "Superbatone is one of the coolest people on eBay - seriously. An excellent source for music, knowledge, and whimsy, and an asset to the community who cares about music and its preservation. It goes without saying that he is an expert in all facets surrounding 78’s and their content."

And another:  “Descriptions as passionate and informative as superbatone’s are commensurate with what you receive: beautiful records, fast service - and even his writing on the shipping box is interesting, artistic, and indicative of the care taken for these records and to transport them safely.”
