This listing is for an EXTREMELY rare misprinted copy of the 8 Vinyl LP box set, The Beatles Box - From Liverpool

The artwork for the sleeve of Vinyl 2 is mirrored, meaning that John and Paul can be seen playing with the wrong hands.  A very small number of these were released, before Parlophone realised the error and nearly all of them were recalled.  This one slipped the net!
Even without the misprint, 'The Beatles Box' is a rare set as it was never actually available through high street record stores.  It was a mail order only release distributed by World Records.  This is the sought after first pressing with the Black centre labels, not to be confused with the more colourful labels of later editions.
This was the last Beatles release during John Lennon's lifetime, before his tragic death on 8 December 1980.
The Sleeves all have vibrant colours with no rips, holes, or stains, and the corners are all intact without being dog-eared or bent.
The internal slip sleeves are all excellent, with just a little glue showing through where the clear film is attached to the paper sleeve (pictured).  All records will have this, particularly after 44 years!
The Vinyls themselves are outstanding.  I don't think these have ever been played.  I don't intend to play them as they appear untouched - I will let the lucky new owner have that pleasure!
The outer box is excellent, with vibrant colours and no fading.  There is minor shelf wear to the corners, the worst of which is pictured.  The finger hole in the front of the lower half has a small tear (pictured).  A very common thing to find on what is of course a weak point on the box.

All in all this is an exceptionally rare set of 124 Beatles recordings in excellent vintage condition.  I got this from a specialist auction for a fair price and am happy to pass on that good fortune.  I have seen normal copies (without the misprint) of this set offered at more than this start price.  I am hoping this will go to a true fan of the Fab Four.
