After releasing a handful of pop/psych LP's through the late 60's, Holland's Golden Earring shifted gears toward a heavier 70's rock style with great results, showing off a more Progressive minded edge and an very Krautrock production. 'Seven Tears' is a stoned prog work of art that would be valued in the hundreds if this was a one-off album by a band that promptly vanished after its original issue. Mainly known for their FM rock classic, 'Radar love', a song that only gave a small hint of their early 70's genius, 'Seven Tears' is highly recommended. The delicate gatefold sleeve shows some signs of handling at a few corners and the spine. Perhaps closer to an EX- than VG+. This cleaned and play tested vinyl is a brilliant and shiny European pressing with superior sound quality; this really needs to be cranked up to be appreciated. Side two has a small blemish, probably the result of vinyl going in/out of the sleeve and is no problem and would probably only bother those who shouldn't be buying records on eBay anyway. Their label, Polydor Records, did them no favours by opting not to issue this in the US, with 'Seven tears' now being an Europe and Japan only rarity that needs to be experienced.
