HERE'S a mysterious record from Texas, so obscure that my on-line discography doesn't even list it under its correct name. A fine "Norteño" Tex-Mex accordionist billed only as "THE ROOSTER" cut a couple of sides in San Antonio in 1936, then vanished into the desert, never to be heard from again! Now THAT'S obscurity!   

Even the title is mysterious: "JULIA'S MOTHER TOLD HER." Who was Julia? What did her mother tell her? Was it something trivial or consequential? At least the title on other side, "SO LONG" makes sense, for Mr. Rooster did exit rather abruptly, taking his guitar and bass drum player with him.  

This original 1935 "Buff" Bluebird B-6446 is in immaculate, beautiful EE+ condition.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
