THE BEATLES

"ABBEY ROAD"

APPLE LABEL - STEREO LP - UK RELEASE

1st PRESSING - September 1969

 PCS.7088 - YEX.749-2 / YEX.750-1

Condition:

Sleeve:  GOOD :  Fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, in clean condition throughout.  There is a clear disc impression showing on both sides, and a 6cm split along the spine.  Top and bottom edges are very good and free of scuffs, and seams are intact.  There is considerable edge creasing, and the top left and bottom right corners have been creased at some stage.  Free of writing or stickers.

Note: last track on album shown on sleeve as "The End" [no Her Majesty]

The inner sleeve is a newish looking plain white die-cut poly lined sleeve.

Record: VERY GOOD :  Graded carefully having listened to it a few times.  There are numerous hairlines and surface scuffs to both sides, but nothing that seriously effects play quality.  Would benefit from a good clean.

Labels are free of writing and clean, if dull, condition.  Only average spindle wear.

Last track is "THE END" [No Her Majesty]

Checked for sound quality and it plays very well throughout but with some background static in parts [which could be resolved by cleaning].

[Item Ref: Beatles/64]

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:

MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.  Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
