The rare and notorious (Capitol) SPRO-9462 "Beatles Collectors Items" featuring out takes and alternate versions of many of their hit songs. This is alledgedly a "bootleg" produced to look like a real Capitol issue. Legend has it that someone on the inside at Capitol produced this and printed up 1000 copies and put it out on the collectors market months ahead of "Beatles Rarities" ( you can google the title and number to learn more about it). It was later reissued as #9462. It does look amazingly like a real Capitol issue deep purple Capitol label and a really cool cover photo of Beatles memorabilia, back cover has bw pics of all the Capitol releases to 1979 and concise informative notes on each song: sd-1 Love Me do, From Me to you, Thank You Girl, All my loving, This Boy, Sie Liebt Dich, I Feel Fine, She's a Woman, Help, I'm Down; sd-2 Penny Lane, Baby, You're a Rich Man, I am the Walrus, The Inner Light, Across the Universe, You Know My Name. Record plays well some minor scuffs and surface scratches ( this was my own personal copy and I played it but also took pretty good care of it) Cover looks great some minor corner bumps but other wise looks very attractive. I looked all over ebay and found no listings over the past year.
