ITEM:    " Heat Wave " by Martha and the Vandellas. Original First Pressing, UK LP, includes rare UK inner sleeve. Released 1964. Matrix stamper numbers: 1N and 1N. 

COMMENTS / CONDITION: This LP came from a private collection - it is not a beat up item bought at a yard sale. The record was visually graded, and was test played.

Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

Vinyl is in  VG+  retaining a nice gloss.  No warps, deep scratches, cracks, or chips. Under a bright light source a few light scuffs and hairlines were seen that appear cosmetic only and did not affect the playback of the record. On my older system, both sides played quietly with no issues. There were no loud pops, harsh background noise, skips, or groove lock. NOTE: Sound quality will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not a statement as to the experience you may have with your equipment.

Labels are in good, clean condition with no peeling edges, rips, or writing. Spindle tracks/wear are visible around the center hole. The center hole is perfectly round and shows no signs of abusive playing.

The original Garrod & Lofthouse cover is in strong VG to VG+ condition with slight edge wear. The front cover is laminated with small crease marks in the laminate along the edges, light ring wear, and one creased corner. The unlaminated back cover has visible rub and ring wear, noticeable crease lines, and minor scuffing/tears to the paper overlay. The spine is straight and is easily readable. All seams are strong with no splits. There are no cut-out punch holes, notches, or clipped corners. Also, there are no stickers, labels, price tags, or writing.

Included is the rare original UK inner sleeve, picturing other UK EMI released soul/Motown LPs. Sleeve is slightly yellowed from age, and has a few light crease lines. Seams are good with no splits.

I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use to care for their records.
