Stephen Vincent Benet's John Brown's Body, adapted and directed by Charles Laughton. Tyrone Power, Judith Anderson and Raymond Massey lead the cast, Music and effects by Walter Schumann with solos by soprano and bass. Columbia ML 4690 is a deluxe set. Two heavy vinyl lps with light marks and some light background crackle. Box is hinged at the spine where it should be. The two lps are in sleeves attached to a bar which is them anchored with metal braces to the box. This thing was built to last and certainly would not have been cheap in its day. A really unique set in beautiful condition.
