About: Led Zeppelin II. Icelandic pressing. 'Between 1981 and 1984 there was implied a 85% luxury tax on vinyl imports in Iceland, which forced 3 Icelandic companies to start pressing vinyl in Iceland: labels Steinar, Fálkinn and Spor. The pressing company was named Alfa, and most covers were printed in Prisma, both of which are located in Hafnarfjörður where I live in Iceland. These were not big pressings, approximately between 250-500 copies for each title. Still, many of these records have been destroyed, since the CD age, and it's unlikely that there are many left of each title today in good condition.
These
Icelandic pressings are the LOWEST authentic pressings in the WORLD and are not
even mentioned in any price guides because nobody had any idea that they were
pressed here in Iceland.
On the label it says HLIÐ 1 (side one) HLIÐ 2 (side 2).
Label: Steinar hf.
Format: 12 inch black vinyl, 33 rpm, Stereo, original issue from Iceland.
Released: 1982.
Vinyl: NM = It looks as it´s new, there is only one spindle mark on label around centre on side two. Lovely shine. Not even paperscuffs.
Cover: Ex++ = Like new - but there is a punch hole, this one has been on a sale and there is one small crease mark on front side, lower left. Apart from that, it´s like new.
