Audio Secrecy is the third studio album by American rock band Stone Sour. It was recorded and produced by the band and Nick Raskulinecz at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 10, the band released a free download of “MissionStatement”, which was later released as a single on iTunes. The first official single, “Say You’ll Haunt Me”, however, was released on July 6, 2010. Audio Secrecy is also the first studio album by Stone Sour that does not feature a spoken word track, with “Omega” and “The Frozen” previously released on Stone Sour and Come What(ever) May, respectively, with “The Frozen” being a bonus track. It is also the only Stone Sour album not to feature the ‘Parental Advisory’ logo.

 

Stone Sour is an American rock band from Des Moines, Iowa. Since 2006, the group has been composed of Corey Taylor (lead vocals), Jim Root (lead guitar, backing vocals), Josh Rand, (rhythm guitar), Shawn Economaki (bass guitar) and Roy Mayorga (drums, percussion). Original drummer Joel Ekman left the group in 2006. The group formed in 1992, performing for 5 years, before disbanding in 1997 when Taylor and Root joined Slipknot. The group reunited in 2002.

 

To date, Stone Sour have released three studio albums Stone Sour (2002); Come What(ever) May (2006) and their latest album, titled Audio Secrecy, which was released September 7, 2010. They released a digital live album, Live in Moscow, in 2007. Stone Sour earned the group two Grammy Award nominations, both for Best Metal Performance, for the singles “Get Inside”, in 2003, and “Inhale”, in 2004. The album went on to become RIAA certified Gold. In 2006, following the release of Come What(ever) May, the group received another Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance for the single “30/30-150”.
