Notes
First press information...
If this doesn't have "SS RL" etched in the run-outs then it is a repress - remastered at Atlantic, rather than Sterling Sound.
Around 200,000ish pressings were done of Robert Ludwig's 'high mix'
which, like Hendrix's 'Ladyland' 1st masters, caused some poor-quality
phonograph needles to 'skip'. Thus, a repress ordered by Ertegan at
Atlantic.
LP is a solid VG+, with several scuffs and a couple of tiny light scratches. LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss. Interior labels are very clean. Matrix info on side 1 includes "RL", while the matrix info on side 2 includes an etched "ss." Gatefold jacket is VG+, with no seam splits. There is wear on all corners. There is wear along the spine. There are some light scuffs on the front and back of the jacket. See pictures for reference. Here are some songs from this actual LP featured in this auction, for reference:

Matrix info for side 1 reads ST-A-691671-1A with "RL" etched above the matrix number. On side 1 at the "9 o'clock" position in the matrix area looks to be a stamped "C" with an etched 7. Near the "6 o'clock" position appear to be an etched "o" with an etched "T" to the right. Side 2 reads ST-A-691672-D. "SS" is etched at the 12 o'clock position, with a stamped "C" to the right. Near the "12 o'clock" position is an etched "o" followed by "T" followed by "1."
"The "o," "T," and "1" on side 2 appear at the "6 o'clock" position not as the "12 o'clock" position.
AMENDMENT TO THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION- PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING TO BID ON THIS LP! I should have included prior to "Whole Lotta Love" there are approximately 4 soft pops prior to the beginning of the song. I truly apologize, as I should have included this in my description prior to making this active. What you hear in my sound clips have not been altered at all, as I started recording right after the final pop. One of the scuffs / scratches I mention in the description happens to be prior to the start of "Whole Lotta Love" in the lead in area of the vinyl. The pops stop just prior to the beginning of the song, and does not cause any skips. When I was looking at the matrix numbers to answer an earlier question, I re-read my listing and discovered I had not included this info. I still stand by my description and sound clips, I just wanted to disclose this to all of you immediately. I sincerely apologize I had not included this in the description before it became active. Just wanted to included this in the interest of an honest description and full disclosure.
