Hi, I started collecting vinyl Lp's and 45's in 1971, I have 20,000 + which I have moved now 4 times, and about to move again next year. So it's time to let at least half go. Most are in at least Excellent condition.  I can't listen to them all, so most will only have visual grading, any with a high start price, I will listen too, and play grade.

*** I AIM TO PROVIDE AN EXCELLENT SERVICE AND DO ACCEPT RETURNS - HOWEVER - PLEASE NOTE I WILL NOT REFUND WHAT IT COSTS THE BUYER TO SEND AN ITEM BACK. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS THEN PLEASE DO NOT PLACE A BID ON THE ITEMS I HAVE FOR SALE. THANK YOU ***

ALBUM INFO:

I was collecting records for a number of decades, I suppose this is one of the most sort after Beatles records, I had trouble finding this version of the White Album, even in the 70's when I bought this second hand, the Mono version was more prolific and as far as I could tell only the Mono records were the low numbers. So the STEREO higher numbered versions were left on the self, some even returned. This I believe is the reason very few complete playable copies come up for sale. The strangest thing is the BPI's official sales figure is only 300,000 sales! today which means total sales from 1960's,70's,80's to the present day. Yet the first top opener version issue was 500,000 and 500,000 for the second run which were numbered too. So just how many were sold of the later stereo version must be unknown my opinion would be very few, but I honestly find it hard to believe, that even given the high cost of the double album, it only sold so few copies over the decades. The Iconic album cover This is their ninth studio album on Apple Records released on the 22nd November 1968 this is the very Rare STEREO 1st PRESS of The  BEATLES  ...SEMINAL...Studio Album....The BEATLES ( THE WHITE ALBUM )......This STEREO Original 1968 Press is so Rare, as stereo copies sold, in small numbers, making it a lot more harder and rarer than the Beatles Mono  version, even in 1968 most people didn't have good Stereo equipment so most stereo records were ruined by being played on dancette type of gramophone. With heavy playing arms that often damaged the vinyl.    A true BEATLES Classic!  You would be hard pushed to another complete 1st Press. With EARLIEST Matrix Numbers . In 1960's/70's most people owned the old fashion type of Radio Grams, I don't need to tell you how many Lp's got scratched and ruined by heavy weighted arms and metal needles.  This is the SUPERIOR UK EARLY PRESS version... So hard to find in any playable condition, as they have been squirrelled away in collections or worse thrown away, Nearly all copies that turn up have terribly worn Covers, mostly with the owners name written on them. I believe that there are very few better Surf albums, you would be hard pushed to find better.

The APPLE RECORDS Gatefold sleeve is laminated front, back, and centre, without any Major creasing, NO WRITING OR MARKS.  An opportunity to own a Mega Rare true BEATLES classic.

VINYL AUDIO:

Very Good :- I've played all 4 sides the vinyl has still got a Great LOUD playback, with No distortion or No Jumps, judging the sound quality the vinyl has been played well, but still has Bright Clear Sound. with a little background and crackle and the odd pops here and there, appearing more on Revolution 9 ( not surprisingly as it's the track most people dislike as Yoko's vocal is not everyone's cup of tea! )   In my opinion this early STEREO press outperforms the Mono version for sound quality. This version is so much rarer.

VINYL VISUAL:

Very Good : - . The vinyl has noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches and still has a shine, with No Distortion.

Under strong illumination there is a lot of visible scuffs light needle marks .

SLEEVE:

Excellent - :- . Rarest ORIGINAL DAY OF ISSUE NUMBERED TOP OPENER STEREO VERSION.. It has an Iconic cover which has an Embossed raised The BEATLES and the # 0402392 all clearly visible, with a WIDE SPINE with a small amount of rubbing, and a little corner wear. Also word STEREO In silver at the top right on the back of the cover, it's still in great shape, just Look at the photo's..... with a wonderfully clean laminated Gatefold sleeve, remarkable consider it's age,  has no splits or tears, please look at the photos the cover is prone to wear due to the lack of care, in the 60's most lp's were either passed around and taken to parties, which lead to a lot of albums have owners names in biro on them, rare in this condition as they were not cheap at the time at £3.+ the average wage being £35 at the time. Most copies were played to death. This Sleeve is in amazing condition.

INNER SLEEVE:

ORIGINAL BLACK APPLE RICE PAPER TYPE:-  The Original Black Inners were so poorly designed, no one had thought this type of rice paper could long term hold in the vinyl records due to how easy the sharp edges of the vinyl would easily cut through the sleeves seams, a lot of these sleeves just didn't survive even moderate use ...THESE ARE TOTALLY UNIQUE TO THIS 1st PRESS, being the very fragile inner sleeve is a great indicator of the amount of usage the album has had. I would say the inners are very hard to find considering how fragile these are.....they are 46 years old, quite unbelievable intact condition.

POSTER & THE 4 INDIVIDUAL BEATLES PHOTOGRAPH CARDS.

LABELS:

ORIGINAL APPLE LABELS With "SOLD IN THE UK SUBJECT TO RESALE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS" across the center , no Center Hole Wear , Very Clean, light spindle marks, no damage or writing.

GRADING SYSTEM: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
