If you're looking for an example of how exceptional mastering and pressing standards can make a qualitative difference in the experience of music listenings, this is as good as you're likely to find. Incredible album rendered in exquisite sonics. And here's a copy that does it justice! All the hallmarks of the must-have first pressing: textured cover, black label, "hello waterface" deadwax inscription, and insert! Rare to find copies with everything.
Sleeve is a very strong VG+, wear is is present but very minimal. Front cover looks great. There's a tiny bit of wavering, like a light crinkle, which only appears at certain angles. Back cover has a two-inch line at the bottom left, not a tear. Spine is legible but wear around the edges is present. Inner sleeve has some splits but looks good. Original insert is perfect.
Vinyl is VG++, paper sleeve scuffs are evident but the vinyl is nice and shiny and there are no scratches I can see. Plays great, with very light surface noise, though I think you could cut this down with a vacuum cleaning (I'm away from my record cleaner).
