GRADING SYSTEM

MINT : I don't use this grade, because no any record sounds perfect. 

NM (NEAR MINT): Record appears in nearly new condition, has no hairlines or scuffs and plays like new with no noise. Cover appears in nearly new condition.

EX (EXCELLENT): Record may have a little scuffs, that mostly do not affect the sound.  The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. The artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS): Record may have a few slight surface marks whilst most should be inaudible, but sometimes cause scarce surface noise. Clicking scratches are not acceptable. The artwork should look clean with slightly more aging. The corners could be slightly weared.

VG (VERY GOOD): A Very Good record will appear well played but still have some luster. More and more surface scuffs and scratches, and audible sound defects could be heard. They should not overpower the dynamics of the music and should only be heard in between tracks or in low musical passages. VG overs will look worn, used. There will be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off. There may be some writing on the cover. 

G (GOOD): A good record will look very well played. It will have distracting surface noise. Such as crackle that is continuous or some hiss. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches. Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear. A good cover may have seam splits, magic marker writing, signs of water damage. 

All records are examined carefully visually and aurally. The records that have no visual surface marks are listened about 30-60 seconds at the beginning of each side. If the marks discovered, I listen to the marked places. Results are displayed at RECORD CONDITION DETAILS if defects are audible and louder than surface noise. Testing equipment: REGA PLANAR 3 with BENZ MICRO ACE SH cartridge, ROTEL 900 Series Amplification, B&W MATRIX 805 speakers, WIRE WORLD cables.
