Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP by the Benny Golson Sextet called "The Modern Touch". Riverside Records. RLP 12-256. 1957.

RARE, ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING ON THE 3 1/2" BLUE LABELS!

DEEP GROOVE!

Edges of record are raised.

Comes with original rice paper inner sleeve which is in Fair condition. It has been safely retired into the cover. Record is in a nice polylined sleeve (SEE MORE BELOW).

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus,Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in a STRONG VG+ condition. Front and back have some wear. Top corner by opening has the tiniest 3/16" split. Spine is all intact with some minor checking. An absolutely gorgeous example of this cover!

I would rate the record’s condition as a STUNNING VG++ to Near Mint. Beautiful gloss and hardly any wear! Couple of faint surface marks on Side 2, but that's it visually. Very minor surface noise in between tracks at times. A truly unique beautiful copy of this classic Jazz LP!

Makes a great gift for any Benny Golson or Jazz LP fan!
