Once Upon the Cross is the third studio album by American death metal band Deicide. It was released in 1995 by Roadrunner Records.
The samples at the beginning of the opening track “Once Upon the Cross” and “Trick Or Betrayed” are taken from the film The Last Temptation of Christ.
Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987. Their first two albums, Deicide and Legion, are ranked second and third place in best-selling death metal albums of the SoundScan era.
