Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP by the Lou Donaldson Quintet called "Swing And Soul". Blue Note Records. BLP 1566. 1957.
RARE ORIGINAL PRESSING! This variation was probably pressed around 1959. Still the glory years of Blue Note!!!

DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!

Both sides' Trail-Off's have the "ear" and stamped "RVG"!
"Ⓡ" SYMBOL AT THE BOTTOM OF BOTH LABELS.
Front of cover is laminated.

Record's edges are raised.
Comes with original plain white inner sleeve.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is a STRONG VG+ condition. Front is really nice with some staining around the edges. Back of cover has some light wear, fraying and some browning in spots. Small 5/16" split on the bottom at the opening. Cover has a curve to it. Still strong and sturdy, this is still a prime example of this cover!

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG++ to Near Mint. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that don't affect play. A little surface noise between tracks, but not much wear at all! Record sounds so amazing on my player! GOD BLESS BLUE NOTE & VAN GELDER!
