RCA VICTOR SORIA SERIES LDS 7022 -- Puccini's TOSCA

Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna State Opera Chorus, under the direction of Herbert Von Karajan.  Recorded in Vienna.

Two 12" stereo LP's have a few scratches, which in some cases produced light (not distracting) ticks, especially if the music was soft.  There are also a couple of light scuffs.  All four sides were played (and enjoyed).  One of the plastic-lined paper sleeves has browned where the glue is holding the plastic.

The 64-page libretto-booklet, printed in Italy, is handsomely illustrated and  magnificently documented.  It will help music-lovers, listening to this recording, recreate the atmosphere of a live stage performance.  It contains:

Booklet has some light soiling on the front cover.  Inside is bright and clean, with no marked, missing, or torn pages.

The box has storage wear, with soiling and bumped corners, and has split between the top and the spine.  It's starting to split on the bottom.  Inside is clean.

NOTE:  I DONT GRADE LABELS -- see pictures for that information.  I use the eBay record grading system when listing 78's, which is mostly based on visual observation of the wax, shellac, or vinyl.  KEEP IN MIND THAT ALMOST ALL OLD 78's HAVE SURFACE NOISE WHEN PLAYED ON MODERN EQUIPEMENT (except the extremely well-made records).  It's only distracting surface noise, as well as pops or jumps, that may affect grading.
