*****Extremely rare 2nd state "Butcher" album-this is the most sought after Beatles LP*****
This "Yesterday and Today" Capitol Records 2nd state Butcher LP is a stereo version. Only 1 of every five was pressed in stereo. No attempt has been made to peel this front paste over slick. It is a 1st issue from 1966. Ringo's sweater (the famous "V") is clearly visible.
The cover is in VG (very good) condition with some foxing, mainly on the back cover. Removal methods using a hydrogen peroxide/water solution are readily available online.
The bottom spine has a 5'' tear in the seam. There is what appears a small tape mark on the left front.
There is no inner sleeve.
"Yesterday and Today" covers with the "unpeeled" Trunk cover have become more rare than those that have the cover peeled, showing the original "Butcher." There is a number 6 next to the symbol on the back cover, pressed in LA.
The vinyl is in solid VG condition with some light scratching.
