FAIRPORT CONVENTION

Unhalfbricking

First Press
Solid Pink Island Label

NEAR MINT VINYL!

ILPS-9102 A//1/1     ILPS-9102 B//1/1

Stereo 1969

This is my own lovely, original copy, of 'UNHALFBRICKING' and in superb condition, with vinyl in Near Mint condition! It is on the First Solid Pink Island Label, with the famous, large White 'i' and as such a highly collectable LP.

It is Fairport Convention's Second LP, with the amazing Sandy Denny and it features the ubiquitous black witch logo on a broomstick, that became Fairport's identity. I bought this in 1969 in Banbury, just outside Cropredy, where many of the group lived, worked and in later times recorded, at Chipping Norton. It was after a Folk Club night in Banbury!

It has those sought after First Press Matrices, with simply ILPS 9102 A//1/1 & ILPS 9102 B//1/1 and unlike later pressings, has no Mothers or Stampers marked, thus one of each and with one Lacquer, one Mother and one Stamper, proves this to be a short run, for a relatively new group and so very RARE!

The vinyl is in stunning condition, and I would suggest it is Near Mint Vinyl, with a deep lustre to the record and that super, heavy weight press 1960s press! There are no spindle marks or rubs, except the raising of paper, after the initial hole punch at the pressing plant, as can be seen, but this was NOT in playing!

The Ernest J Day sleeve is not laminated, but is fully intact, with no damage, no writing, no names, initials, with just some general and expected spine wear, and lower edge wear, and general fading, but no splits or lifting. It has done its job in storage, as this LP stayed in my library and was only 'skimmed' with fingers, thus some wear to the sleeve's spine, not to the record!

It has the plain white, crisp inner with the usual Patents Pending and is not split at all and fully intact!

I have not played record and have not cleaned it either, hence the photos may suggest some dust to the vinyl. I am mindful to leave it alone, as this must be a simple job for the collector and buyer, who will know what they want to do.

A lovely, original, Near Mint vinyl, with complete, and original sleeves and as such a highly collectable LP, well looked after and owned by me, from new, being bought in the very area the group lived, played and later recorded!

It will be posted in a proper record mailer and will be Signed For only and Royal Mail and UK only.

Any questions, please ask.

Thanks.
