30AP 1874 - Japanese Pressing

'Master Sound' series Half Speed Mastered

Billy Joel - The Stranger (Rare Japanese 'Master Sound' series half speed mastered 9-track audiophile vinyl LP on CBS/Sony label, housed in a picture sleeve still in stickered opened shrink wrap with picture/lyric inner, Japanese lyric insert, a 'Master Sound' insert, card inner sleeve, survey card and obi-strip, 30AP1874).

Record -- EX- : This has various ligt scratches and marks about it, on side A the last track the vinyl sticks 2/3 times, the rest of the tracks sound wonderful when played.
Cover -- EX++ : Heavy Card cover still in stickered opened shrink wrap, this has no tears, splits or seams coming undone, the spine is standing proud. The back has a track listing on in English.
Obi Strip -- Mint- : This has no rips, tears or seams coming undone. All information on here is in Japanese.
Inner Sleeves : This has the two original heavy paper and mastersound die cut card inner sleeves. On the paper one are the lyrics and credits in English and a large picture of Billy on the back. Both inner sleeves are in a wonderful condition with no rips, tears or splits.
Insert -- 2 Inserts : Two Original insert of which the first is 1 page 2 sides long, this has the track listing on in English and Japanese and some information and the lyrics on in Japanese. The second insert is 2 pages 4 sides long in a gatefold fashion, this is all in Japanese explaining about the Mastersound series and other vinyl’s in this series. These have no rips, tears or creases. Also included is a postcard sized survey card in Japanese.

35AP 3430~1 - Japanese Pressing

Billy Joel - Kohuept - Live In Leningrad (1987 Japanese 16-track double live LP recorded during Joel's 1987 tour in the USSR, in an embossed gatefold picture sleeve with original inners, Japanese/English lyric sheet and obi strip. 35AP 3430~1).

Records -- EX+ : Between them these Vinyl’s have 2/3 light scratches, nothing serious, mainly on the dead wax, they sound wonderful when played.
Cover -- EX+ : Heavy Card Gatefold cover, it has no tears, splits or seams coming undone, the spine is standing proud but has a fine line running along it (see pictures), light edge wear on the front top edge of the gatefold. The back has a track listing and credits on in English.
Obi Strip -- EX- : This has two rips at the seam joint inside at the bottom, it has a crease across the centre front and back where the obi was kept in storage. On the rear is a track listing in Japanese and English.
Inner Sleeves : This has the two original heavy paper/card inner sleeves. On one is a track listing and the credits in English and they both have corresponding catalogue numbers. These both have a split on the centre of the bottom edge (15mm & 35mm), other than this they are a wonderful condition.
Insert -- 1 Insert : One Original insert which is 3 pages 6 sides long in Gatefold fashion, this has the track listing and lyrics in English and Japanese and some information and a discography in Japanese. This has no rips, tears or creases but has yellowed very slightly through age and humidity.

12" Single / Maxi-single - 45 Rpm

Billy Joel - Tell Her About It (1983 Japanese 3-track vinyl 12” single on CBS/Sony, including Easy Money and You Got Me Hummin' - Live, with picture sleeve still in opened shrink wrap, complete with obi-strip, 12AP 2716).

Record -- EX++ : This Vinyl shines like glass, and has no visible scratches or scuffs and sounds wonderful when played.
Cover -- Mint- : Heavy Card pasted cover which is still in the opened shrink wrap, this has no tears, splits or seams coming undone, the spine is standing proud. The back has a track listing on in English.
Obi Strip -- Mint- : This has no rips, tears, splits or seams coming undone, on here is a track listing in Japanese and English, some information in Japanese and the lyrics in English.
Insert -- 0 Insert : As it is a 12” single all information is on the back of the cover and obi strip, no insert issued.

Billy Joel - Songs In The Attic (1981 Japanese 11-track vinyl LP on CBS/Sony, gatefold picture sleeve, complete with colour picture inner, fold-out English lyric insert, fold-out Japanese insert and cap type obi-strip, 20AP 2130).

Record -- EX++ : This Vinyl shines like glass, it has 2/3 hairlines, but no serious scratches or scuffs and sounds wonderful when played.
Cover -- EX++ : Heavy Card Gatefold pasted cover, this has no tears, splits or seams coming undone, the spine is standing proud. The back has a track listing on in English and some information also in English which is then continued on one of the inserts; on the inside are various pictures.
Obi Strip -- EX++ : This is a cap type obi-strip which has no rips, tears or splits, all information on here is in Japanese.
Inner Sleeve: Original heavy paper sleeve with pictures of the band and Billy Joel. This has no splits or seams coming undone.
Insert -- 2 Inserts : Two Original inserts which are both 2 Pages 4 Sides long in gatefold fashion, the first has a track listing in Japanese and English, with information, credits and lyrics in Japanese. The second has information, credits and the lyrics all in English, these are both in a good condition with no rips, tears or creases.
Promo Booklet : The Original heavy paper promo use booklet which was not for sale, this is a stapled 4 Pages 8 Sides long in gatefold fashion booklet. In here there are a lot of pictures of Billy Joel and the rest of the his band. This has no splits or seams coming undone.
