VSD2150-45 The Weavers - Guantanamera Special One Sided Pressing "Side B3" 45RPM** Clarity Vinyl* Classic Records Reissue - Still Sealed w/Sticker
The second in a host of return engagements at one of the most revered music venues in America, this reunion featured the original quartet of Pete Seeger, Ronnie Gilbert, Lee Hayes and Fred Hillerman, augmented by Bernie Krause, Frank Hamilton and Erik Darling, who had become the next generation of (song) weavers. "Guantanamera", the "stereo demo cut", on the original Vanguard live recording, praised for years for the perfect sound captured that night, is now available in it's definitive medium as a 45 rpm Clarity vinyl single sided pressing. Mastered by Bernie Grundman and cut directly from the original 3-track analog masters, on Classic's "All Tube" cutting system, this Classic Records Super Vinyl Profile pressing puts you front row and center for the playback experience of a lifetime, capturing the true spirit of the reunion performance. The soundstage and depth are better than any reproduction, in any format, to date. Recorded on location at Carnegie Hall May 2nd and 3rd 1963 celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Weavers. Close your eyes and you are there. This rare single sided 45 rpm Clarity vinyl version was slated for release just prior to Classic Records sale to Acoustic Sounds in 2010, but sadly never released. A few copies survived and are made available for the first time ever. The Clarity Vinyl pressings are on Classic's 200g Super Vinyl "FLAT" Profile and represent the ultimate in playback fidelity lacking both the tracking distortion from non-flat conventional profile records and the electrical distortion caused by the trace metallic particles in carbon black pressings. Only a handful of copies of this title remain so get one before they are "Out of Print" forever. NOT TO BE MISSED!
NOTE: This is for one single-sided record. We also sell the entire Weavers Reunion at Carnegie Hall 5LP 45 RPM Set - check out our Ebay Store.
*Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90% percentage of the highest quality co-polymer available - a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl has no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LP’s. Carbon Black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause “electrical distortions” in cartridges during playback that smears the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records is able to dramatically reduce the “electrical distortions” and thus bring more “Clarity” to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast.
**45 rpm records have long been recognized as providing a higher fidelity musical experience resulting purely from the cartridge being able to extract more of the nuance from the complex vertical and horizontal groove modulations in stereo LP’s. Further, Classic Records 45 rpm “single sided” pressings dramatically reduce the mechanical resonances created by the cartridge during playback by allowing these resonances to be more fully transmitted to and absorbed by the turntable platter. Classic Records Clarity Vinyl 45 rpm pressings are designed and manufactured to provide the “LOWEST DISTORTION” in every aspect of LP playback resulting in putting the listener as close to the music as possible. With only three copies of this definitive reissue left, don't hesitate before the price on the secondary market skyrockets!
