This record is visually graded at VG+, but you know the deal with these old Blue Notes---Visual grades are usually deceiving. Plays better, around VG++. Slightly noisy in spots but the record is so powerful that as soon as it gets loud, all you hear is the music. You have got to hear how deep the bass is, how rich and sweet the tenor sax, how concise the high-hat sounds. No tics or pops, just some background noise here and there, but this record HAS NOT been professionally cleaned.
