Time to list my final David Ruffin record, and I’ve saved the best till last!!!

DAVID RUFFIN - YOU’RE MY PEACE OF MIND (NORTHERN SOUL
***Near-Mint*** - TMG 1093)

A much sought-after, killer, Northern Soul Record, in Near-Mint Condition.

Recorded and released both in the US & UK in 1977.

The record I’m listing now is the original 1977 UK press on Motown TMG 1093.  The flip side is “Rode By The Place”.

Cherished since I bought it new, this record is in stunning Near-Mint Condition, with perfect, unmarked labels.

If you’ve been on the look-out for this fabulous, “In-Demand” Up-Tempo Floor-Filler, you definitely won’t find one in better condition, and I’m listing it now with the absolutely ridiculous low start of a mere 99p!

Good Luck if you’re bidding, and may the best man/women win!!

Important Postal Information for UK Buyers

The high quality mailers I use can hold up to three records. I will therefore be happy to combine postage over the weekend auction period, with just a small supplement of 30p per record to cover the additional postage weight, but see notes below regarding the overall total value.

Records (single or combined) sold for up to £20 in total, will be sent by Standard First Class Mail, (With retained Proof of Posting)

For total bids exceeding £20, your record(s) MUST be sent using the First Class Recorded (Signed for) option, so please wait for my invoice before paying.  Thank You.

Record Packaging and Dispatch Details

All records will be securely posted out in brand new white card sleeves, using high quality cardboard record mailers, within one working day following confirmation of payment.

RECORD HISTORY, DESCRIPTION AND GRADING

I bought all my records brand new, from reputable UK Record Shops, apart from some early imports which I bought new by Mail Order direct from the US.

All my records been looked after, kept in card sleeves and stored upright in professional wooden record boxes, to prevent any damage.

My records have not been traded or passed from one person to another, like some offered for sale on EBay.

RECORD RELEASE DATE

I always try to include the record version/issue details in my listings to show whether the record is a genuine UK or US first issue, or a subsequent re-release.

RECORD GRADING EXPLANATION

Record grading is rather a subjective process and buyers’ expectations will differ.

I always try though, to give an accurate and honest description of all my records, which are now between 40-50 years old, using the definitions and explanations stated below.

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with any of my grading or descriptions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

NEAR-MINT

The record has all the appearances of a new record with little sign of having been played. Both labels will be perfect unless otherwise stated.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some minor signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Both labels will be perfect unless otherwise stated.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some surface marks and/or the occasional light scratch. Both labels will be in excellent condition unless otherwise stated.

STYRENE RECORDS

Some of my early US import records are pressed on styrene rather than vinyl.

Styrene is generally less resilient than vinyl and is more prone to the occasional “pop and crackle”.  Please bear this in mind when bidding.

PRICING

I don’t use inflated “Buy Now” options or set unrealistically high start prices.

Most of my listings start with opening bid of 99p, with no reserve, regardless of the likely higher value suggested by previous EBay sales or record valuation websites.  Occasionally though, I may list a more obscure record with a higher starting figure, but still considerably less than its suggested value.

Sometimes I get a good price and at other times the buyer gets a bargain, but that’s all part of the fun of EBay.

Q & A
