As the Beatles became better known in Britain, they appeared on as many radio and television programs as possible. During the late summer and fall of 1962, the Beatles performed several times on the BBC radio program" light and popular". Portions of these programs and other Merseyside musicians were later rebroadcast in the Liverpool area in late 1962 and early 1963 on a radio show called "Stramash". During one of the programs, Liverpool art teacher using a home recorder made a rough recording of the Beatles and other mercy beat groups. The tracks on side one originated from this recording.
After completing their 1963 autumn Tour of Britain, The Beatles appeared in the first of several Christmas shows. The program " The Beatles Christmas show "opened at the Liverpool Empire on the 22nd of December and continued for a fortnight at the Finsbury Park Astoria. Also on the bill Rolf Harris, the Baron nights, Tommy Quickly, the Foremost, Billy J Kramer in the Dakotas, and Celia Black. It was from their first Christmas show at Liverpool Empire, that the tracks on side two were taken.
Cover is in heavy shrink that is removable.
Has some corner wear.
