This copy of New Order Blue Monday is in Good condition.
It is an original A1/B1 Fac Seventy Three 12” 1983 blank sleeved vinyl with silver inner sleeve.
It is a little confusing as my understanding is that the first pressings are generally die cut, although this vinyl is clearly a blank sleeved version which from what I have found is a third pressing. However the inner sleeve bends and folds match the outer sleeves bends and folders. So this may be either a rare alternative version before they switched from the die cut to the blank sleeved version or a 1st pressing that completely missed the cutting process altogether.
Identifying marks on the vinyl state it is a first pressing. Likewise the silver inner sleeve.
Matrix / Runout (Side A): FAC 73 A1 MT2 OUT VOTED
Matrix / Runout (Side B): FAC 73 B1 MT1 HO ED + TEL!
So my belief is that this is a 1st UK pressing which missed the cutting process altogether.
The sleeve is showing moderate to heavy signs of usage, with various marks scuffs, creases, wear and fraying along the edges. The waxing on the sleeve is mottled suggesting a flaw in the factory process so this may add to the theory that this was a mistake in the vinyl process? (pictured)
The inner silver sleeve likewise shows signs of wear with various creases, although the edges are in somewhat better condition. There is some signs of ring wear and as before mentioned, it follows the contours of the outer sleeve. There is also an image of a bear stamped on it (pictured)
The vinyl is in great condition with side A1 being clear of any scuffs and marks, whilst side B1 has only one noticeable faint mark at the 8 o’clock position, which does not affect the sound quality at all. The plays very well without jumps or skips, though there are of course pops and crackles, though nothing you wouldn’t expect from a vinyl this old.

Note for buyers.
I am very happy to send items Worldwide, so please feel free to ask for prices..
A great deal of time and consideration has gone into collecting and preserving my vinyl collection over the last 25 years. If and when an item is sold on, the same care and attention will be adhered to it. It is important to me that whatever you buy arrives to you in the best of conditions as depicted in the images and as described in each case. I will make every effort to ensure that this happens.
I will NOT just stick a stamp on it and hope for the best. They will be sent out 1st class recorded ONLY, to ensure that they arrive quickly and are covered by insurance should anything happen to them in transit.
To this, all vinyl I sell is sent with a reinforced stiffened cardboard backing and bubble wrapped into a thick parcel box, (small enough to fit through your letter box if it's 7 inches) 12 inch vinyl are sent as small / medium parcels. Each vinyl has a new protective plastic cover and where the vinyl is shown without its original cover sleeve, the vinyl will be sent in a protective plastic cover and plain white paper sleeve. Some of the vinyl I own is big holed, so 45 RPM adapters may need to be bought separately, or if I have them spare, I will provide one at no extra cost,
Happy bidding folks
