Fair:  Album has a significant number of marks (scratch/scuff/smudge) on the surface, but still plays well.  Does exhibit the hisses and pops associated with albums that have been played repeatedly.  Album may need to be cleaned.  No warping was detected during inspection.

Good:  Album has a few marks on its surface, but the album plays just fine.  May have some hisses, crackles, and pops associated with records that have been played repeatedly.  Album may need to be cleaned.  No warping was detected during inspection.

Very Good:  Album may have a few very, very light marks on its surface.  It may have a few very light cracks pops when played.  Album may need some light cleaning.  No warping was detected during inspection.

Like New or Near Mint:  The album is like brand new; may have just recently been opened and played for the first time, or has been played very little since opened.  The album has no marks on it, and is not warped.  Feedback when played (hisses and/or crackles) are very light or non-existent.  Album also retains original shine of a brand new record.

Brand New/Unopened/Mint:  Album has not yet been unsealed, and is still in its original packaging.  Absolutely no markings anywhere.  Original shrink wrap, and any stickers and clear plastic outer album sleeves remain.
