"BLINDED BY RAINBOWS"  (Mick Jagger / Keith Richards, 1994)

Did you ever feel the pain,
That he felt upon the cross?
Did you ever feel the knife,
Tearing flesh, that's oh so soft?

Did you ever touch the night?
Did you ever count the cost?
Do you hide away the fear?
Put down paradise as lost.

Yeah, you're blinded by rainbows,
Watching the wind blow,
Blinded by rainbows,
Do you dream at night?
Do you sleep at night?
I doubt it.

Did you ever feel the blast,
As the semtex bomb goes off?
Do you ever hear the screams,
As the limbs are all torn off?

Did you ever kiss the child,
who just saw his father shot?
Do you ever shed a tear,
As the war drags on and on?

Do you ever touch the night?
Or is it just another job?
Do you feel the final hours?
Put down paradise as lost.

Yeah. you're blinded by rainbows.
And faces in windows,
Blinded by rainbows,
Do you dream at night?
Do you sleep at night?
I doubt it.

Do you ever fear the night?
Could it be the war is lost?
Do you fear the final hour?
Do you kneel before the cross?

You're blinded by rainbows,
And watching the wind blow,
Blinded by rainbows.

Do you dream at night?
Do you scream at night?
Do you smell of fear?
Is your conscience clear?
Are you caked in sweat?
Are your clothes all wet?
Do you see the light?
Is the end in sight?
See the face of Christ,
Enter paradise?
I doubt it.
ROLLING STONES: "Voodoo Lounge" VERY RARE UK DOUBLE LP, PRESSED IN ENGLAND BY BY EMI FOR 'Virgin
AND ALL ITEMS WERE ALSO PRINTED IN THE UK, RELEASED 14th JULY,1994.  THIS STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL
SHRINK WRAPPING, NOT SEALED BUT FINISHED ON THE OPENING EDGES.  WHICH MEANS THE GATEFOLD COVER
HAS NEVER BEEN OPENED, ALL ITEMS ARE LITERALLY LIKE BRAND NEW.
I must discuss the massive rarity of the UK pressings below, were trading at record fairs in 1994 and unless you pre-ordered the
few vinyl editions, the album was sold out immediately with no re-pressing at all.  CD's had taken over as a format and now vinyl
lovers were in a very low minority, "Voodoo Lounge" was originally pressed on vinyl to the highest audio standard by EMI in 1994
Twenty two years later, the extreme rarity of this one and and only UK pressing in minuscule numbers, this is only my second ebay
listing in fifteen years.   Unplayed as well, because this was bought with a CD version, with the sole intention of keeping the
vinyl album unplayed, really carefully stored inside a plastic outer sleeve for those last 22 years to still look like brand new.
Further preserved by the even rarer 1994 shrink wrapping. as the records and card inner sleeves were being removed for the first
time, my experience came into the equation, especially for double records in side a shrink wrapped gatefold cover.  The removal
of the heavyweight records and cardboard inner sleeves, causes the shrink wrapping to tighten around the now 'hollow' empty
record compartments.  As usual, I was prepared with two cardboard squares cut slightly smaller than the compartments, they
were inserted instantly, one at a time.  The result is a perfectly supported cover and I then separately pack the records into new
plain inner sleeves and both into a plain cardboard cover.  My regular customers know that procedure well because along with
plastic outer sleeves, that is how I ship my records and I recommend that becomes the storage method over a long term period.
As a professional record seller I was extra vigilant handling the cover, the individual picture inner sleeves and the records, at
random I selected one side per record to show the labels etc. to mimimalise handling.   So Side 1 & Side 4's labels text their maitrix
can be seen in the above pictures, playing the records myself was not even an option!

GREY, BLACK & WHITE VIRGIN LABEL: V 2750  ‎ (7243 8 39782 1 2)
At 8 o'clock on the labels, is the text; "Made In The U.K."

MAITRIX FOR ALL FOUR SIDES;
RECORD 1:  V 2750   A - 1 - 1 - 1  /   V 2750   B - 1 - 1 - 1
RECORD 1:  V 2750   C - 1 - 1 - 1  /    V 2750  D - 1 - 1 - 2
As only the one small pressing was made in 1994, all the UK records will be as typed above or no more than the odd single digit
rise.  As far as I can know there are not any counterfeit records circulating on ebay and hopefully that will not change.

Just to give a complete UK identification, the run-out grooves have the Mastering logo on both records;

"TOWNHOUSE DMM"

TWO FIRST EDITION UK PRINTED, INDIVIDUAL COLOUR  CARD, TOP OPENING "Voodoo Lounge" INNER SLEEVES.
BOTH HAVE DIFFERENT PICTURES, THE REVERSE SIDES CONTAIN FULL TRACK LISTINGS AND LYRICS PER RECORD.
BOTH ARE IN UNUSED, UNSPLT, UNCREASED, AS NEW MINT CONDITION.

THE SHRINK WRAPPED GATEFOLD COVER  IS MADE FROM EXTRA THICK, HEAVYWEIGHT CARDBOARD, TOP QUALITY
WITH A DELUXE GLOSSY COATING.  THROUGH THE PERFECTLY CLEAR SHRINK WRAPPING THE COLOURS ARE VIVIDLY
BRIGHT AND THERE IS NO FORM OF AGEING TO THE PREDOMINATELY WHITE BACKGROUND TO THE ARTWORK.
My pictures include a close up of the relevant bar code, which has the text; "Printed In England."  The same text is one these
rare UK pressed labels, as you can see from the format, EMI pressed the records for 'Virgin.'

THE IMMACULATE FOUR LABELS DO NOT HAVE ANY SPINDLE TRACES, ALL FOUR SIDES ARE GLEAMING LIKE
BRAND NEW.  ANY FACTORY OR INITIAL HANDLING CAN BE CLASSIFIED AS 'NEAR INVISIBLE TO INVISIBLE.'
BOTH RECORDS ARE IN UNPLAYED, MINT CONDITION.

My love of records always was and always will be for the music, but producing the rarest albums from artists of the stature of
the Rolling Stones should in theory be finding ultimate condition of early 1960's - 1970's albums.   Once you enter the late
1980's and particularly the first half of the 1990's, in comparison the the 60's albums, albums like "Voodoo Lounge" are more like
Promo albums because so few were made and bought.  Rolling Stones collector's do not part with their rarest albums easily and
it was patently obvious in 1994 that the UK vinyl "Voodoo Lounge" was going to be one rare album over the coming years and
now decades.  That was long ago now to have a new generation getting into collecting original vinyl, in the same year of 1994,
another major band who originated in the 1960's, were releasing what would become their final album since their 1967 debut.
Yes, even Pink Floyd's No.1 "Division Bell" album was pressed in the UK by EMI in such small quantities, today the few copies to
come up for auction sell for incredible figures, so much so, it has been subject of heavy counterfeiting on ebay.   In fact, those
rare most sought after early 1990's albums are now available as counterfeit's, more than officially pressed !  A disgraceful fact
that ebay are allowing to go happen, anyway, after a long time in preparation, The Beatles were about to restore the balance of
CD's threatening to end vinyl completely.  The 20th October,1995,no less than a triple album titled "Anthology Volume 1" brought
a change of mind to those who had given up on vinyl, people without record players bought that and 'Volumes 2 & 3' in moderate
numbers, but enough to establish the  demand for vinyl had survived, if by the skin of it's teeth!  Today pressings of new titles
and an unbelievable amount of back catalogue albums and singles are available, when the Rolling Stones "Voodoo Lounge" album
was released, the sales were virtually all CD's and cassettes versions. So few records were pressed, at the time I doubt if many
even knew vinyl was briefly on sale.  In 1994 records had been moved into half lit corners and their availability was so minimal,
you had to be determined to secure copies, record fairs were flourishing back then and that was the best place to try....not in
the record shops because they were sold by pre orders!

Such was the wealth and inspiration of the Rolling Stones in 1994, four singles from the double album charted in high positions
in Britain,"Love Is Strong", "You Got Me Rocking", "Out of Tears" and "I Go Wild".  I recently sold one a numbered Limited Edition
of "Love Is Strong" and have fully discussed this era and of course the "Voodoo Lounge" album.   To me it seems like yesterday it
was released but time just flies by and somehow 22 years have passed, even so, I am reluctant to repeat it all again and I'm sure
"Voodoo Lounge" does not require my input for track details. The beauty of this, is the Mint unplayed records are still precisely
how EMI pressed them for the  Virgin label in 1994, but to have the gatefold cover and both colour lyric inner sleeves in such
stunning condition, only adds to the rarity.   The records have remained safely inside the  cover with a plastic outer sleeve over
the gatefold cover, please see my pictures for how like brand new this whole double album is is.

  R & M RECORDS.

My lifetime's love of music and records began at a very young age, the arrival of the Beatles and the 1960's decade
in general had a very profound effect. It was only natural to bring all my first hand experience of collecting vinyl
into becoming a professional record seller.  Nearly thirty years ago we entered into the wonderful atmosphere
of record fairs with the highest possible standards set. When the Internet became the world's new market place for
vinyl, in 2001 it was time to join ebay. Those standards were rigidly adhered to as they will always continue to be,
the basics of honesty and integrity were very much part of the era the music I love originated in, so here is our friendly
and very efficient service we are proud to provide;

EVERY RECORD IS FULLY PLAYED AND COMES WITH A 'NO ARGUMENT' MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.
I USE GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE AS WELL AS A GLOBALLY ACCEPTED GRADING TERMINOLOGY
FROM THE U.K. "RECORD COLLECTOR PRICE GUIDE" BOOK.
THERE IT CLEARLY STATES "Sound Quality" AFFECTS EVERY GRADING LEVEL AND THAT IS THE ONE
AND ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO ACCURATELY GRADE RECORDS. i.e. COMBINING A STRICT VISUAL
INSPECTION WITH VERY CLOSELY LISTENING TO EVERY SECOND, UNLESS PERHAPS IN THE CASE
OF GENUINELY UNPLAYED VINYL.  EVEN THEN WE STILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR A RECORD
WHEN A CUSTOMER RECEIVES EITHER A SEALED OR AN UNPLAYED RECORD.

We take 100% responsibility after an item has been posted and offer our fullest support in the event of any problems.
"There Are No Problems, Only Solutions" (John Lennon)
MY DESCRIPTIONS WILL ALWAYS BE 100% HONEST AND TOTALLY ACCURATE ON ALL GRADINGS
FROM 'V.G.' ( VERY GOOD), TO THE ULTIMATE 'MINT' CONDITION.

WEIGH A LITTLE EXTRA.

UNDER PAYPAL & EBAY'S GUIDELINES, ALL RECORDS WILL BE SENT VIA A FULLY INSURED TRACKABLE
SERVICE.

We have kept all our charges at the same level for years now, but due to the Post Office's new price increases, regretfully we
will have to increase the cost of LP's, however, singles will remain unchanged.  Ebay were aware of that happening and have
increased their minimum postal cost for LP's to £7.00, that figure has been enforced by the UK Post Office and it will become
our UK First Class, Recorded Delivery cost for albums up to the value of £46.  A temporary reduction this week means we can
now post LP's for £5, but who knows how long before the Post Office return to £7?

For LP's valued above £46, the cost will be £9, we are unhappy about either increase but our high standard of packaging has meant
in 13 years of ebay trading, there has not been one record damaged, we are determined to maintain that in the present and future.

IN THE UK RECORDS UP TO THE VALUE OF £46 WILL BE SENT RECORDED DELIVERY, OVER £46 WILL BE
SENT SPECIAL DELIVERY.
FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD ALL RECORDS WILL BE SENT VIA 'INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR.'
