This was purchased as part of a collection that has always been stored VERTICALLY, INDOORS, IN A DRY, SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT. T This is THE HOLY GRAIL for record enthusiasts of the metal-glam-hair scene of the mid-80's. This record cover was deemed too controversial. A few key retailers refused to carry it. After protests and denunciations, the cover was changed into the familiar crossbones cover and went on to sell millions of copies. THIS IS THE MEGA-RARE ORIGINAL 1987 ROBOT/RAPE COVER WITH THE AWESOME HYPE STICKER. THERE ARE PROBABLY LESS THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED IN EXISTENSE THAT ARE STILL SEALED AND IN SUCH IMPECCABLE CONDITION.
The artwork is done by the celebrated artist ROBERT WILLIAMS. The white label seems like it will peel right off, but I haven't tried it. This record seems to me to be very flat. I have been dealing records for over 5 years (please see 100% positive feedback) and I have come across a few sealed records that have turned out to be warped. Usually it is somewhat obvious. as the shrink wrap can be too tight and one of the corners of the sealed records will be slightly askew and will lift up slightly when laid upon a flat surface. Not here. This is the copy you want.
