I told you about Strawberry Fields,
You know the place where nothing is real,
Well here's another place you can go,
Where everything flows.
Looking through the bent back tulips
To see how the other half lives,
Looking through a glass onion.
I told you about the walrus and me, man,
You know that we're as close as can be, man,
Well here's another clue for you all....
The walrus was Paul.
Standing on the cast iron shore, yeah,
Lady Madonna trying to make ends meet, yeah,
Looking through a glass onion.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah,
Looking through a glass onion.
I told you about the fool on the hill,
I tell you man he's living there still,
Well here's another place you can be, listen to me .
Fixing a hole in the ocean,
Trying to make a dove-tail joint, yeah,
Looking through a glass onion.
THE BEATLES: "Love" UK DOUBLE LP / VINYL SET, 100% SEALED INSIDE THE FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPING,
SHRINK WRAPPING ALONE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A FIRST PRESSING. UNLESS THERE IS THE ORIGINAL
2007 ONLY, STICKER, IT WILL NOT BE AUTHENTIC, FULL DETAILS GIVEN BELOW.
ISSUED 30th APRIL, 2007, ON THE UK PARLOPHONE/APPLE LABEL: 094637 98081 1
THE BAR CODE ON THE BACK PRESENTS THE UK CATALOGUE NUMBER IN THIS FORMAT: 0 94637 98081 1
I have quoted that to confirm this is indeed the first UK pressing, as crazy as it will sound, question marks hang heavy over
the authenticity of copies being sold on ebay, of all Beatles albums released between 1988 and this, the 2007 final Beatles LP.
If the 1960's decade was not complex enough, we now have copies of dubious, or perhaps I had better phrase that as, from
'unknown origins' in apparently limitless quantities, which simply cannot be. There are counterfeit copies and as I constantly
write, original record company and record shop stickers become the best friends a collector can have, because they act as the
ultimate authentication of genuine first pressings. That term is ironic really, there was only one vinyl pressing made of every
Beatles title right from the 1988 "Past Masters" double vinyl edition, I will detail the sticker on this album and any on other
of the albums currently being targeted by crooks who infest ebay like a plague. In the same fashion picture disc versions have
'appeared' when no official pressings in that format were made,"Beatles "1" is another album targeted by those making and
selling bootleg /counterfeit items, there never was an official double picture disc version.... but they sold on ebay to the naive
and inexperienced even though they are recent issues. The importance and relevance of the bar codes, especially for sealed
albums that cannot be seen or examined, is as major as the stamping codes on 1960's and 1970's Beatles records. I know for
a fact the same is true about Beatles CD's and CD box sets, a subject I do not have professional expertise for, but I can sense
countefeit items from instinct alone. For records, that's as natural as breathing, the relevance of all this will be given below.
INSIDE THE GATEFOLD COVER WITH AN EXTREMELY WIDE SPINE, WILL BE:
A SUPERB BEATLES PICTURE ON THE INSIDE PANELS
TWO LINED SOFT PAPER INNER SLEEVES
A DELUXE 28 PAGE BOOK, REPRODUCING THE SMALL SCALE CD BOOKLET IN FULL ALBUM SCALE.
THE DELUXE QUALITY GATEFOLD COVER HAS THE ARTWORK LOOKING SENSATIONAL IN ALBUM SIZE FORM, THIS IS
STILL COMPLETELY SEALED IN THE SHRINK WRAPPING, THERE ARE NO HANDLING SCUFFS OR SCRAPES.
THE UK COVERS HAD A CIRCULAR STICKER STUCK DIRECTLY ONTO THE FRONT COVER, IF APPLIED WHEN SHRINK
WRAPPED, LIKE THIS COVER HAS, THESE WERE GENERALLY PLACED DIRECTLY ONTO THE SHRINK WRAPPING, NOT
UNDERNEATH BEFORE BEING SEALED. PRINTED ON A DARK BROWN BACKGROUND IN YELLOW/ORANGE & WHITE;
FEATURING 26 TRACKS RE-WORKED
BY GEORGE & GILES MARTIN
THE BEATLES AS YOU'VE
NEVER HEARD THEM
BEFORE
379 8081
The cover has the UK catalogue number '0946 379 808 1 1' contained within the bar code, a joint Parlophone & Apple release.
The usual green Apple & Parlophone logo's are on the left of the bar code, with the "Cirque Du Soleil" logo on the right hand side.
Apple Corp's /EMI's copyrights are also printed on the back, the pressing itself credits the expected "Made In EU" and to confirm
the genuine first pressing sold in a UK record shop in April, 2007, once again there is this printed; " UK: '0946 379 808 1 1'
The actual copyright taken for the vinyl very clearly states the correct year of the release; '(P) 2007,' please see below for
further info about that. Why we are no longer given the specific country actually manufacturing records, is something I have
never understood, the vague 'Made In EU' is the only credit and following the common practice for this era, the printing was
just as vague as the pressing, 'Made In EU' is all we are informed nowadays, a record company policy that invites forgeries.
The all important credit regarding these first UK pressings is; "Marketed And Distributed By EMI." The final item on the back
to firmly place this vinyl edition of "Love' release in 2007, a double LP required a renewed copyright for the amalgamated
Apple with "Cirque Du Soleil," for the use of the "Love" artwork for the gatefold cover, the labels and the book ,that text is;
"Artwork (C) 2077 The Cirque Apple Creation Partnership / Apple Corps Ltd." Please see the above close up pictures showing
the sticker, the artwork copyright and UK catalogue number from the credit's section on the bottom of the back cover. I always
include the smallest detail and enjoy finding individual items that make albums unique, even when shrink wrapped! The opening
sides are securely sealed inside the shrink wrapping.
INCLUDING THE SHRINK WRAPPING, ALL ITEMS ARE IN UNHANDLED/UNPLAYED TRUE MINT CONDITION.

It does not seem possible for a relatively recent release of a Beatles album, to have become subject of incorrect information,
I keep seeing the incorrect year being quoted for the year of publication of the rarer vinyl pressings. Normal practice was to
use original years of publication for any further editions, that in itself is self explanitory about how trends had been reversed
since all previous decades. "Love" is the last ever Beatles album, by that I mean the final return to the Master Tapes by the
'Fifth Beatle' Gerge Martin, accompanied by his son Giles Martin, who acted as a co-producer to create the most unique listening
experience to the Beatles masterpieces, since the heyday of the 1960's. CD and DVD versions were released in in November 2006
and that was originally the only formats available worldwide, perhaps sensing the bootleggers/ counterfeiters preparing to pounce
on a glaring omission of a vinyl pressing, the combined might of EMI/ Parlophone/ Capitol & Apple swung into action in 2007 and
produced a really stunning vinyl edition with two LP's in a deluxe gatefold cover, the comprehensive CD booklet grew in size to
reach human scale. A strictly limited vinyl pressing was announced in the music press and that was all that was made, now so late
after all the initial promo work and successful sales in 2006. A publication date was printed as '2007' which I have been amused
to see totally confused certain Beatles 'experts' on ebay, who took it upon them seleves to censor/alter the 2007 date to 2006 in
descriptions for fear of it appearing to be a later re-issue. Even more cynically, the dubious abundance of 'cheap' copies I have
been discussing for all 1988 -2007 Beatles albums mentioned earlier, has created an even greater need to insist on the 2006 date
for the vinyl. The same manipulation is there to see for other counterfeit Beatles albums and 'demo's of 1960's singles, add in
the ever increasing blatant lies about re-issues being 'originals' and any amusement soon disappears. The reason this genuine
limited first pressing sold in a British record shop, has '(P) 2007' printed on the cover, is because that was indeed the year a
vinyl edition was belatedly pressed. I do not make this up, I have a crystal clear memory of the early 1960's and events in the
first decade of the 21st century do not need references to text books either, should anyone wishes to check that, they will find
that was how it happened. Sellers who quote 'April 2006' are even manipulating the month as well as the year, because they are
totally disregarding an easily checked fact, the CD & DVD versions were not released until the November of 2006.
The CD album positively came first and the whole concept that inspired creating a soundtrack remix album of the Beatles' music,
a 'Cirque du Soleil show', "Love." I admit being sceptical about re-mixing the Beatles music, but had complete confidence in the
integrity of George Martin and his son, I bought the CD version on release in 2006 and instantly loved the fantastic sounds and
enjoyed working out which parts of different songs had been skillfully edited onto tracks from different eras of Beatles' music.
I was mightily impressed to hear an acoustic demo's intro edited onto one track as an intro from a different time period and how
perfectly it worked there. I have no intention of revealing the multiple places where that occurs because the album does work
without needing a Beatles fanatic like myself revealing everything, an ego trip I try and avoid when reviewing original singles
and albums, but the depth to "Love" is the very reason I chose the lyrics to "Glass Onion." John Lennon wrote that with almost
a prophetic insight into events in the future and even in 1968, people were analysing every word and meaningless images on LP
covers. John Lennon said in 1979 - 1980, how much he wanted to re-mix the Beatles tracks and had John lived I am certain he
would have created a similar project to George & Giles Martin, Paul loved the album and I also feel George would have approved
of "Love", the one word that summed up all the Beatles really achieved. Paul, Ringo, Yoko on behalf of John and Olivia on behalf
behalf of George, were all consulted, their permission asked and granted. Embedded in the album is a 'code' that George Martin
was so confident would not be broken, he jokingly offered a prize to anyone who did. I listened out for that but the music was so
engaging and overpowering, I lost all interest in codes, which I believe was the idea and that was yet another reason why "Love"
sits as the final link to the 1963 "Please Please Me" album, a sealed true Mint copy like this is a real treasure.

R & M RECORDS.
My lifetime's love of music and records began at a very young age, the arrival of the Beatles and the 1960's decade
in general had a very profound effect. It was only natural to bring all my first hand experience of collecting vinyl
into becoming a professional record seller. Nearly thirty years ago we entered into the wonderful atmosphere
of record fairs with the highest possible standards set. When the Internet became the world's new market place for
vinyl, in 2001 it was time to join ebay. Those standards were rigidly adhered to as they will always continue to be,
the basics of honesty and integrity were very much part of the era the music I love originated in, so here is our friendly
and very efficient service we are proud to provide;
EVERY RECORD IS FULLY PLAYED AND COMES WITH A 'NO ARGUMENT' MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.
I USE GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE AS WELL AS A GLOBALLY ACCEPTED GRADING TERMINOLOGY
FROM THE U.K. "RECORD COLLECTOR PRICE GUIDE" BOOK.
THERE IT CLEARLY STATES "Sound Quality" AFFECTS EVERY GRADING LEVEL AND THAT IS THE ONE
AND ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO ACCURATELY GRADE RECORDS. i.e. COMBINING A STRICT VISUAL
INSPECTION WITH VERY CLOSELY LISTENING TO EVERY SECOND, UNLESS PERHAPS IN THE CASE
OF GENUINELY UNPLAYED VINYL. EVEN THEN WE STILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR A RECORD
WHEN A CUSTOMER RECEIVES EITHER A SEALED OR AN UNPLAYED RECORD.
We take 100% responsibility after an item has been posted and offer our fullest support in the event of any problems.
"There Are No Problems, Only Solutions" (John Lennon)

ONLY PROFESSIONALLY PACKED BOXES WITH SUBSTANTIAL PROTECTIVE PACKAGING THAT DOES
WEIGH A LITTLE EXTRA.
UNDER PAYPAL & EBAY'S GUIDELINES, ALL RECORDS WILL BE SENT VIA A FULLY INSURED TRACKABLE
SERVICE.
We have kept all our charges at the same level for years now, but due to the Post Office's new price increases, regretfully we
will have to increase the cost of LP's, however, singles will remain unchanged. Ebay were aware of that happening and have
increased their minimum postal cost for LP's to £7.00, that figure has been enforced by the UK Post Office and it will become
our UK First Class, Recorded Delivery cost for albums up to the value of £46. A temporary reduction this week means we can
now post LP's for £5, but who knows how long before the Post Office return to £7?
For LP's valued above £46, the cost will be £9, we are unhappy about either increase but our high standard of packaging has meant
in 13 years of ebay trading, there has not been one record damaged, we are determined to maintain that in the present and future.
IN THE UK RECORDS UP TO THE VALUE OF £46 WILL BE SENT RECORDED DELIVERY, OVER £46 WILL BE
SENT SPECIAL DELIVERY.
FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD ALL RECORDS WILL BE SENT VIA 'INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR.'
