Record in Near Mint condition.

Record sleeve is in very good condition. A bit of aging stains on back side and abrasion signs on two corners of sleeve. Small writing in blue pen on back right corner as seen on photos. Record original shrink in excellent shape; on the whole, all in very good condition.

Yellow and black label with fireworks. Text around inner label reads: "Prestige Records Inc, 203 South Washington Ave, Bergenfield NJ.

Includes: Tracks A1 & A2: Miles Davis, trumpet; Milt Jackson, vibes; Thelonious Monk, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums (recorded December 24, 1954). Tracks B1- B5: Miles Davis, trumpet; Sonny Rollins, tenor saxophone; Horace Silver, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Kenny Clarke, drums (recorded June 29, 1954).

This record is one of many records from my father's collection. Most records were purchased in NYC during 1955-1970. I have not listened to the records to determine quality; Grading is based on visual inspection only.

 

RECORD GRADING CRITERIA:

MINT: My visual inspection has revealed no scratches nor scuffs on the playing surface. Furthermore, the playing surface is clean and the record seems to have been played very little if at all. The sleeve seems crisp and clean - almost as new.

NEAR MINT: My visual inspection has revealed no scratches nor scuffs on the playing surface. Furthermore, the playing surface is clean and while the record would seem to have been played, it is undamaged. The sleeve seems to have only slight signs of handling and storage.

EXCELLENT: The surface of the record is clean and free of scratches and scuffs. While the disc has obviously been played, it is not worn with excessive use or damaged in any way. Any faint marks would be noted. It does not mean that there are non-sounding marks of any kind on the playing surface. The sleeve shows signs of handling and storage; any significant marks or staining would be mentioned in the description.

VERY GOOD PLUS: Shows slight signs of wear, light scuffs or scratches may be present but they should not affect playback other than faint surface noise. Cover sleeve is considered still “frame able” yet when observed closely will show to have a flaw or small flaws, very minor ring wear if any, seams and spine intact but not pristine
