Bill Barron Quartet      Motivation     Savoy 12303 stereo  maroon label

Bill Barron (ts), Kenny Barron (p), Chris White (b), Al Hicks (d) Recorded 1972

This was the last jazz album released on Savoy, long after it had become primarily a Gospel label.  Distribution had to be minimal as it is very hard to find.

maroon label both sides. "56 Ferry Street,  Newark, N.J"  address on back cover.

Record looks M- and plays VG++ to M-.  The quiet passages play VG++ due to mediocre vinyl quality. No scuffs. No scratches. Grooves do not look worn.

Cover is M-.

The front cover is bright and shiny with little or no wear. There's a small area of sticker residue and a tiny sticker. Back cover has light wear. No split seams. Tiny spot of heavy wear at top of spine.

I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
