Near Mint (NM or M-) : The record has hardly visible small scratches etc. We think you can find records graded NM quite satisfactory, unless you are a collector who is determined to own a brand new record.

Excellent (EX) : There are some light scratches and cracks on the record (which can be felt by touch). Sometimes these slight defects may influence sound. Although some noise is audible in quieter sections of the record, such as fade-outs, and it is especially conspicuous between tracks, it does not have a profound influence on the whole record. The label may have discolorations or ring wear.

Very Good Plus (VG+) : It is worse than the above, but there are no needle jumps. There is some scratches and some noise. The label may have discolorations or ring wear.

Very Good (VG) : It is worse than the above.

Good Plus (G+) : It is bad condition.

Good (G) : It is worse than the above.

Poor (P) : Very rough.
