BRUCE WOODLEY Just Good Friends (RCA) Australia 1971.
Here's the Super Rare debut Solo LP by Bruce Woodley. This one completely slipped off the radar!! ..maybe it was a tad too adventurous for the majority of Seekers fans, and his name as a member of The Seekers also prevented a younger 'hipper' crowd buying this album, as well. I don't know, anyways...there's some really good stuff here...it's Singer Songwriter Rural Folk, with some Psychedelic Fuzz guitar running through a few tracks.
The last 3 tracks are particularly good, especially "New England Lady" which has Sitar & Flutes...it's slightly reminiscent of "Wichita Lineman", but with a light Folk/Psych edge to it. Those into the likes of Gene Clark & Fred Neil should also appreciate this album. Incidentally the Original sleeve art had two Naked Female models having Sex! ..unsurprisingly it was withdrawn!!!
The Cover is VG+ (see pics + zoom), there's 2x Radio Station cat stickers on the front (removable with eucalyptus or your fav potion, as the sleeve is fully laminated), general shelfware, the Vinyl is EX+, only very faint signs of play.
Very difficult to find, don't miss!!
