THE BEATLES 'ABBEY ROAD,' APPLE LABEL,  #SO-383 LP VINYL RECORD,  Released on: August 26, 1969 This album by the 'Beatles,' considered by some critics to be their best work and which some think is the best rock record of all time, has some minor scuffing along where the record sits on the top middle of the card stock outer jacket. It is where the top edge of the disc rests inside. The shadow is minor and only interrupts the sky and trees to the left a bit. If it were not for this arching scuff and record shadow about 5 inches long, the color iconic cover showing the Beatles walking across the zebra crossing in front of Abby Road Studios in London, would be in nearly pristine condition. There is also a slight right lower corner compression crease, which is also minor and which doesn't break the image printed on the card stock record sleeve. The back of the record cover is nearly flawless and without a single issue. Otherwise, it is fine. The vinyl record inside honestly has on 'Side 1' some incidental scratches and abrasions. 5 scratches are noticeable and the rest amount to 'touches' or very minor scuffs. 'Side 2' has three very minor, shallow scratches or a scuff. The scratches which do exist, would be considered shallow and shouldn't interrupt the playing of the disc or for the enjoyment of its music. This revered record album by the legendary Beatles was previously played and the minor scratches demonstrate this fact. They are not fatal but present, nevertheless.

Although 'Abbey Road' was an immediate commercial success and reached number one in the UK and US, it initially received mixed reviews, some critics describing its music as inauthentic and bemoaning the production's artificial effects. Many critics now view the album as the Beatles' best and rank it as one of the greatest albums of all time.
