"Stone Soul" and "Trippin' to Egypt" Soul Jammers, Smak SM 1102  VG-/VG-

I cannot find any listing for this particular issue of this Los Angeles soul label from circa 1970. "Stone Soul" is actually an updated soul version of Lloyd Price's R and B classic, "Lawdy Miss Clawdy", so perhaps this record was withdrawn to avoid legal entanglement and never got past a few promo copies pressed. The flip side, "Trippin' to Egypt" is the instrumental track used for "Stone Soul". This is an early arrangement effort for soul producer and arranger, Miles Grayson.

I grade this 45 on the lower scale of VG. The 45 has its share of scuffs and a few feel-able scratches on each side. "Trippin' to Egypt" has a few seconds of groove damage that is both visible and audible with some hiss. The vinyl is heavier grade and plays quite well.
