Up for sale is very clean copy of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers ‎– The Big Beat. It's an early pressing with RVG and the "ear" symbol in the dead wax and the 47 West 63rd Street address..

Vinyl is (visual) M-/VG++. Areas of scuffing and hairlines. Still glossy.
Cover is M-/VG++. Very clean, a little general wear. Faded a bit around the edges. 1 tiny red marker mark in upper left back corner. Bit of corner wear. (see photos for details).
VPI cleaned.

I play-graded this one. Side one sounds great. There are some intermittent light ticks/surface noise in the right channel on some parts of track 1. By track 2 surface noise/ticks are gone. Track 2 plays clean, sounds great. The surface noise/light ticks are back for track 3, in the left channel now, it comes and goes, not present for entire track, you mostly hear it in quiet sections. No pops or clicks.
Side 2 sounds great as well. Light ticks/surface noise can be heard in quiet sections of track 1. Track 2 plays pretty clean, not hearing much of that ticking/surface noise, similar to side 1, track 2. Track 3 has some ticking/surface noise in quiet sections.. No pops or clicks.

From a collection I recently purchased from an 83-year old record collector. His record shelves had plexi-glass doors in front of them which explains the amazing condition of the sleeves. He also took incredibly good care of the records. Follow my listings for more M-, mono Blue Note, Prestige, Pacific Jazz, Verve, Contemporary and Riverside LPs I'll be listing in the coming days.
