Limited edition of 500! »The Shining« was J Dilla's first posthumous album. It was released on August 22, 2006 on BBE Records. J Dilla thought it was 75% finished. Others say that only the mastering was missing. Karriem Riggins finally finished it. There are 12 tracks on it, created with longtime companions, with friends. Besides Karriem Riggins, it features Common, Black Thought, Pharoahe Monch, D'Angelo, Busta Rhymes, Guilty Simpson, Dwele, J. Rocc and Madlib. You get soul, you get funk, you get the tricky stuff people used to say about J Dilla that he did more for the renaissance of jazz than most jazz musicians (who just play old songs). Of course, you can also get this raw rap shit. You get the infinite forms of expression that J Dilla mastered. It's a true classic.

We are therefore pleased to be able to present »The Shining« in a limited HHV Gold Vinyl Edition of 500 pieces in cooperation with BBE Records. Includes a 40-page bilingual booklet with an introductory essay and an interview with Peter Adarkwah from BBE Records.
