Known of course for the smash hit "House of the Rising Sun" there is no denying every song is a stomper with a true 60's British garage beat from "The Girl Can't Help It" to "Around and Around." Nice copies of these first pressings are getting harder and harder to find as this classic becomes more beloved & collectible as the years roll on. ESSENTIAL.

1964 true 1st USA press MONO  MGM rainbow lettering  "Lion" logo top center thick heavy rigid 150g weight vinyl the dead wax is etched "E 4264 SIDE 1/2" 64MG672/3-4" & "TONY ROMEO 8/11/64" *** this "Romeo" etched pressing has the RARE fade out USA single version at the end of "House Of the Rising Sun" cover is thick heavy cardboard with pasted on slick inner sleeve is printed heavy paper stock

CONDITION:
VINYL =    STRONG VG++ to EX-   Light sleeve scuff/rubbing/ a few light but unfeelable play marks or rubbing visible under bright halogens. The labels are EX with some spindle marks.

PLAY GRADE =   EX   Exceptionally light hiss or crackle between tracks & occasionally very subdominant in a quiet background, or random tick etc, LOUD CLEAR HUGE BOLD DEEP BOOMING FIDELITY.

COVER =   EX  Exceptionally light storage or handling rub, some light impressions or streaking/creasing, some light age discolor to back slick near edge & a few small spotting light stains near top left,   CLEAN COLORFUL BOLD BRIGHT.  The edge seams have some light dents or dings, some chipping mostly at spine lower corner area resulting in light just starting to shine through inside, otherwise MOSTLY TIGHT & SOLID, SPINE LEGIBLE.  Corners have light rounding/rub/chipping. Inner sleeve is EX CLEAN & CRISP with some mild creasing/age discolor etc.
