Grade:
(vinyl)

7+
That is a visual grade. it plays much better, as these high quality deep groove heavyweight pressings almost always do. it's still very glossy, but with scattered visible marks. some are more obvious than others, but with rare / small exception none are more than lightly "feelable", and none are serious or deep. it will not play perfectly of course but it plays very well with excellent fidelity and only occasional noise. with possible rare exception, any noise is low-level, not obtrusive. silence between some tracks.

Grade:
(cover)

8-
the photos should tell most of the story, but to summarize, the only significant defects are the 4" split upper right and corners are rubbed / bumped, but not severely. Otherwise it's fully intact with light rub front and back, slight perimeter discoloration back perimeter. Looks very presentable.

Condition Grading Notes
Clean all records before playing for best results. Do not assume that your record is thoroughly clean when you receive it.

Records are not generally "play graded" beyond spot tests of potentially problematic areas, unless the listing suggests otherwise.

78rpm records are never play graded (unable to do so at the moment).

Below are grading guidelines. Please review our feedback and trust that we try to grade records conservatively, and as accurately as possible. If there is a problem with any record, please let us know.

10:

is unopened and/or looks fairly untouched ("M").

  9:

vinyl appears fairly pristine, might have a few insignificant marks which should not affect play appreciably. Cover might show slight signs of handling or age (similar to "M-" or "EX+").

  8:

has some scattered light marks on otherwise glossy vinyl which will likely produce minor and/or infrequent noise. A very nice play, not perfect. Cover has some clear signs of handling and/or age and maybe a mild version of some of the defects listed under 6 below (similar to "VG+").

  7:

will show many light marks and/or scuffs and/or scratches, some of which will definitely produce intermittent audible noise which will be heard through the music to varying degree. Vinyl may be somewhat dull. A fairly decent but flawed play. Cover shows a combination of mild to moderate symptoms of the defects listed under 6 below (similar to "VG").

  6:

shows general wear on vinyl including loss of lustre and scuffs and scratching. It is assumed that many of these marks will produce frequent audible noise which can be heard easily through the music. Overall this is an obviously flawed but still somewhat enjoyable play. Cover will show some or all of the following defects to varying degree: edge wear/scaling, seam splits, ring wear/rub, bent corners, creases, graphic blemishes, stickers present and/or removed (similar to "VG-" or "G+").

  5:

will show general significant scuffing and scratching on vinyl, with easily audible noise almost throughout. Cover shows many aggravated symptoms of the defects listed under 6 above. 5 is the lowest I will sell for LP's, and only in cases of special interest or rarity. I do sell 45's in this condition and less (similar to "G").

other important seller info:
r e t r 0 g e n i c
is a veteran eBay seller with years of experience dating back to the earliest days of this Century. Initially specializing in Vinyl (records of all types), this seller's focus and efforts have expanded to include Shoes Clothing, usually in the 'Vintage' category, and almost by necessity to creating and maintaining a vast and eclectic library of LEGO parts, so as to purge the huge bulk of which was accumulated during this seller's tenure at that esteemed Danish Dynasty. Regardless of the particular type of item, the best attempt will be made in all listings to document it thoroughly, both verbally and photographically, so that prospective buyers can make informed decisions about bidding / buying. Subjective assessments are avoided when possible, or are made self-evident. Ideally the photographs and known objective facts will supply the bulk of the relevant info. Photos in listings are generally not altered or edited, but if so only to the extent that is required to increase accuracy; e.g. the tweaking of color balance and/or contrast and/or brightness. Photos included in each single-item listing depict the actual item being sold, with the exception of any stock or auto-filled photo which might be inserted by eBay. And of interest to the LEGO enthusiasts, the photos included in listings for items Lots or in Bulk with multiple quantities available will depict one Lot or Part of many available, but are typical or representative of all Lots/Parts. Any prospective bidder should take at this seller's feedback page and bid with confidence, as many hundreds of other satisfied and often repeat eBay customers have done since early Y2K. If you have further questions about anything, PLEASE ASK! Thanks for looking (and reading)!
