CONSIDERATIONS (Who we are and why buy from us…)
We at NC-DAYDREAMER'S are not retailers, not a consignment store, nor are we a drop-shipper either! What we are is a family who believes in taking care of our belongings after working hard to obtain them.
Be aware this may be the only like item available in our possession. In some instances, it may be the only one for sale on eBay. Keep in mind that many items for sale in this store may no longer be in production – so they may not be available at all in the future at any price. Also, consider that if you have an interest in an item, then it makes sense that someone else will too – so act fast to make it yours!
We insist on being open, fair and honest – don’t you? If you value these characteristics too, why would you accept any less from any vendor? Our ads come with no tiny-barley-readable-fonts, mysterious jargon or purposely-omitted details. We feel it is a matter of respect, honor and integrity. Therefore, we concluded that we should take this opportunity to address common concerns by answering frequently asked questions in our ads. Like many people, we prefer communication and transparency to misunderstandings. Responsibility and consistency matters, so we double-check everything by doing our own inspections, write our own descriptions, package our own shipments, take our own pictures and create our own adverts. Thanks for taking a minute or two to read the facts. It is important to us that we earn our buyer’s trust as we strive to provide the best experience possible. Buyers deserve this and should not have to second-guess about any seller or the product they are considering.
PARTICULARS (General Info…)
General grading: New {N} (Likely in factory shrink-wrap, never played - regardless of it's age). Like New {LN} (Opened and likely played; while perhaps not in perfect 100% mint condition (we feel no record can be absolute mint), no obvious flaws were discovered). Excellent {EX} (Looks great, with possibly minor visible blemishes that does not affect play to the point of being distracting). Very Good {VG} (Shows light/soft visible issues, or/and has soft, infrequent audio concerns, but plays ok without repeating). Good {G} (Looks/sounds played with some obvious wear, but still worth listening to in our opinion - even with headphones). Note that a "+" or a "-" following the grade letter indicates slightly above or below grade, but not quite the next level.
Record jackets and covers marked as EX grade confirms no markings, non-factory stickers or/and split seams are present. VG+ grade may have such minor issues (with frayed openings, tears/splits are likely to have been repaired), or be yellowed/faded from age. While those marked as VG may also show handling soil, moderate ring/shelf wear and/or un-repaired splits.
Any promotional “extra” which may have been part of the original purchase such as a poster or special advertisement for example, is not included in this sale if not shown in the pictures or/and mentioned in the description.
Neither any record nor CD has ever been used in a jukebox.
All music media is "play graded" (unless new/unopened) but remember our equipment may not be the same as yours, so we may have a different experience. We keep a database of serial numbers of our items, so if you find an error we overlooked and would rather return this item because you disagree with stated condition, just let us know (as instructed under RETURNS below).
QUALITY (What you can expect from us…)
First, there are no flaws obvious to our eyes/ears if not stated in the description or displayed in the pictures. Neither the camera/scanner, nor the photographer are perfect - and we do not claim to be experts on everything. Sometimes a picture will show bright spots, dark areas, or a blue or yellow tint. Such is likely a result of room lighting, shadows or the flash from the camera/scanner and does not necessarily infer that item has an unmentioned "bad" spot. If you have a concern, please ask us about it.
Items come from inside our home as opposed to a damp garage or a musty non-climate controlled storage location. Furthermore, our home really IS a covid-safe, non-smoking and pet-free environment. (We adore pets, but they are against our lease.) In addition, buyers are assured no fragrances, dryer sheets or chemicals will be added to packages (no allergy worries for customers). As a double layer of protection, we wear disposable gloves and masks while handling orders.
Pictures shown are of the item itself, not web-based examples or generic images (such as a stack of records or magazines). Nor are they copied from stock sources as a representative sample, nor snagged from other seller's listings (not plagiarized). Nor, have they been supplied from catalog photos. We are the ‘real-deal’ and have not the need to perform such questionable practices. Please keep in mind that because of monitor variances, actual item colors are subject to opinion once item is in hand.
We have over 22 years’ of selling experience (multiple accounts) and 61 years as a collector. Therefore, we have learned a few things. Hence, our opinion of item condition is explained the best we know how. We attempt to explain each area of an item – the points that if we were buying it, we would want to know. (Moreover, if any ad we consider purchasing from is lacking in such assurances, we will not buy it.) In our view, listings with empty descriptions indicate a possibility of having something to hide or that the opinion of the seller is that the item is not worth their effort. If they shroud details about themselves or are not forthcoming about policies and what a customer can expect; does this mean they are not interested in their item or their business? If something goes awry in the transaction, will I be “ghosted”? If I have to contact a vendor about a problem, when given a full business day to respond - will I only hear back from the crickets? These issues will not be a question for our buyers’ at NC’s!
PAYMENT (Thank you!)
Payment requested please within 48 hours of time of purchase or invoice issued, unless other arrangements have been pre-approved. Order cannot be mailed to buyer before payment is received. Moreover, order can only be mailed to the address buyer confirms at checkout; if order must be re-mailed due to a non-deliverable address, buyer shall be responsible to pay the additional postage. In case the first attempt was shipped free to its destination - the second try is not free and any original shipping incurred cannot be reimbursed to buyer under such circumstances, as any offer of ‘free shipping’ or ‘discounted’ shipping only happens once. If you are experiencing issues updating your address or phone, please alert us so we can try to help. If you wish to redeem one of our store coupons or one issued by eBay, these are accepted if not expired.
Sales Tax is separate and in addition to the item cost and any shipping/handling expense. It is calculated by eBay during checkout and added to your invoice as may be applicable. This tax is charged per the state of delivery laws and is collected and remitted accordingly by eBay for compliance. The seller is not involved in this process in any way.
SHIPPING (Receiving your purchase…)
Orders and replies to emails are handled during business hours - Monday-Friday, 10AM to 4PM (Eastern Zone), except holidays. Every order includes tracking. Large orders will be insured at no cost to the buyer. For protection in order to deter mail-theft, orders exceeding $50.00 may require a delivery signature. Shipping and handling costs are based on weight, size, class and distance of package. Orders will be sent via the least expensive option possible. If buyer prefers to purchase an upgraded faster option, that choice may be made during checkout.
All items are carefully padded and packed, then sealed inside specially designed mailers and/or Mylar bags for safe weather-resistant transport. USPS shipping available to most US destinations, including PO Boxes. Please note that shipping to locations in Alaska, Hawaii, and/or Military bases (APO), Ships (FPO) and Diplomatic (DPO) addresses, along with US Territories/Protectorates (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, etc.) may take longer due to distance.
Sorry, if listing does not specify international shipping as being accepted, then it may not be available at this time. If it is approved, the buyer is solely responsible for any Vat, Tax or Customs charges as well as any and all other delivery fees which may be imposed by your country. However, in order to save money for our international buyers, we do not use the Global Shipping Program unless requested, but will send package directly to you. We will declare actual value on the Customs forms.
Other delays beyond our ability to control may occur due to holiday schedules at the carrier, extreme public/natural disaster (non-preventable) situations such as hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards, floods, fires, war, etc. We will be glad to help work out a resolve for buyers in such cases.
Also, please note that your package will not be sent from any other venue. Your purchase is with us, NC-Daydreamer through eBay – it will not arrive to you from anywhere else.
RETURNS (Customer Service after the sale…)
Please advise us of your intent so that we may issue an RMA number (return merchandise authorization) to you so your request may be processed. This also allows us to authorize a pre-paid postage label for you as may be qualified.
In circumstances where buyer does not advise us in advance and decides to voluntarily self-pay return postage instead – please note this postage cannot be reimbursed; even for items marked as ‘free returns’. If/when a buyer chooses to self-pay for the return postage, they are welcome to upgrade when they pay the carrier by adding insurance, tracking, etc. at their expense.
In the unlikely event the order has not arrived to buyer two business days past expected delivery date let us know and we will be glad to have it traced for you. If the package is confirmed lost by the carrier, the buyer may request a refund. On the other hand, if buyer desires to return order for a refund after it arrives to its destination, please let us know what went wrong, as we want buyers happy. The sooner we know there is a problem, the more likely we can resolve it amicably.
Before refunds are issued, the received order must be returned to us within 30 calendar days of date delivered (unless order was lost or damaged by carrier) and be in same condition as it was sent to buyer.
If a shipping problem has occurred, usually, the carrier will affix an advisory sticker to the package. Buyer may be asked to provide pictures of outside envelope/box (include a pic of the shipping label and any carrier notice, please), and of item damage (including serial number if any) for insurance purposes. If we need the item back, we will notify you and pay for the postage. We thank you in advance.
In addition to the RMA number, valid returns must include (if any) item packaging and accessories, such as specialty molded product display box, CD jewel-case and artwork, book dust jacket, manufacturer’s instructions, registration cards, cassette j-cards or branded record jackets, clothing tags, sport-cards plastic covers, etc. and show no extra signs of use or wear. Please understand this does not necessarily mean returning the outside shipping box/bag. Condition of item and accessories such as power cords will be inspected, serial numbers (if any present) will be verified, tags must still be attached and clothing unstained and unaltered, etc.
It is suggested that as a matter of buyer convenience, if any order is carefully opened upon arrival, it may be that the postal packaging can be re-used to mail order back if need be. According to eBay regulations, it is the responsibility of the sender to ensure any package arrives safely.
Customers are welcome to reach out to us whenever needed, before and after purchase. Unless there is an emergency whereas I am in the hospital, or, there is an electrical failure, or, the computer blue-screened, or, there is something really out of our control happening, we will respond within 1 business day.

We offer combined shipping whenever possible. In addition, when ordering four or more items (not already discounted) at the same time going to the same address from our store, please ask about available multi-item discounts. Yes, buyers may mix-match when reasonable for mailing combined items. For example, we can ship a baseball card with a cassette tape, a sewing pattern or/and an album. But, we cannot combine a brick doorstop with a glass vase, or a 45-RPM record and a frying pan, etc. Questions welcomed.
Instructions: If you would like to purchase more than 1 item at the same time to take advantage of discounts, please put all items into the cart and click on "Request Total from Seller" or "Request Invoice". (eBay words it both ways.) Up to 40 items may be selected per order. This allows us to send you a statement with combined shipping and multi-item discounts as may be qualified. Please do not pay until you get the invoice delivered back to you via eBay email - there will be a link inside that invoice to access the special pricing – usually within 1 business day. Discounts cannot be issued after payment is made and are not retroactive. ABOUT Records, Tapes, CD’s, etc. (In case you want to know…)
Just to be clear on terminology for the purpose of our offerings – we define a “jacket” to be the outside cover of a record. On 45’s and 78’s this is usually paper, while an LP or album usually have cardboard covers. Some thicker than others, most have artwork, playlists, and notes of some sort as to make it unique to that recording.
The term “sleeve” (which can be paper or plastic) refers to the inside “envelope” of an album, protecting the record itself from touching the cardboard as it slides in/out of the jacket. Sometimes, these inner sleeves are plain (commonly called “generic”) or can also have pictures, lyrics and ads. If a manufactured jacket or sleeve of some sort is unavailable, a homemade one may have been created. The jackets of 45's and 78'scan also be generic and do not commonly come with inlays or inner sleeves.
Albums and 45’s also have an outer plastic cover/poly-sleeve, which we purchased separately and added to the item to help protect it. Unfortunately, these poly-covers have only existed to my knowledge for about 10 years or so, therefore some shelf damage may have already occurred. (If so, it will be noted in the description table.)
Cassette tapes have “J-Card” inserts, which serve as information detailing specifics about the tape, and CD’s have “inlays” which is the bottom tray art and often a booklet or photo card of some kind with details. “Jewel case” usually refers to the hard plastic, molded case of which the CD/DVD is stored inside.
Unless otherwise noted in the main description or/and photos, the words "original" or/and "branded” when referring to paper jackets (especially 45’s) do NOT equate to what is often referred to as a “picture jacket” - even if the record was originally issued with one. It means that the jacket comes matching the label brand/distributor. Again, please ask questions if you have any.
Important! Unfortunately, "catalog product specifics" which eBay sometimes inserts (often without seller's knowledge or approval) into many listings (especially music) can be inaccurate. This “information” may be out of date, portrayed differently from the actual item and/or includes mistakes like wrong cover photos or artwork, brand labels, distributor, year of release, titles, playlists, claiming non-existent inclusions, etc. Even UPC's which may be shown in item photos (where one is known to exist), is/are not being accepted/validated properly by the system. We bring this to your attention just so that you are aware of it, as we know such errors can be confusing.
Therefore, please don’t rely on such information alone – ask questions when you notice the description and these specifics do not match and the answer matters to you.
